Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to join Divergent’s in-house legal department for Summer 2026. The intern will work closely with our legal team on a variety of transactional, regulatory, and compliance matters, gaining first-hand exposure to the day-to-day legal operations of a fast-moving technology company.

This internship offers an excellent opportunity for a law student or recent graduate to develop practical skills and learn how an in-house legal function supports a rapidly scaling organization.

The RoleCorporate & Commercial
  • Review commercial agreements, including NDAs, SaaS agreements, licensing agreements, vendor contracts, and service agreements.
  • Assist with due diligence reviews of third-party contracts and corporate filings.
Regulatory & Compliance
  • Monitor applicable federal, state, and international regulatory requirements (e.g., data privacy, consumer protection, industry-specific regulations).
  • Support internal compliance audit activities and documentation efforts.
Intellectual Property
  • Conduct preliminary trademark and patent searches.
  • Review intellectual property provisions in contracts and assist IP counsel in infringement and risk assessments.
Litigation & Dispute Management
  • Research applicable case law and summarize findings in concise briefing memos for senior counsel.
  • Assist in preparing materials related to ongoing or potential disputes.
Administrative Support
  • Maintain and organize documents in internal systems such as SharePoint and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools.
  • Assist with general legal operations and administrative tasks as needed.
Basic Qualifications
  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls 
  • Currently enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school or a recent law graduate.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated interest in corporate, commercial, regulatory, or intellectual property law is a plus.

Pay Range
$33$45 USD
