Manage accounting processes for fund services, ensuring timely trade settlements and communications between counterparties and custodian, handling several related tasks with diligence.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will be part of a talented and efficient Fund Services team that works on mission-critical projects within middle and back-office operations. You will manage various accounting and operational processes on behalf of our global client base while maintaining transparent communication with our clients and their fund administrators and trading counterparties.
Responsibilities
- To be a subject matter expert on confirmations\settlements
- Confirming the trades traded by the client vis-à-vis Counterparty confirmations, on T+0
- Effectively communicating with the Counterparties for the missing confirmations or any discrepancies in the confirmations received vis-à-vis client trades
- Performing duty of a middleman between the Counterparties and Custodians to ensure timely settlements of the trades
- Vigilance is of utmost importance as far as emails relating to the trade confirmations are concerned
Required Skills
- General knowledge of products in the hedge fund industry. One should have knowledge on products like Equities, Equity Swaps, Interest Rate Swaps, Credit default Swaps, Futures & Options etc.
- Having fair knowledge of the trade workflow in the market. Should be able to manage workflow, adhering to the agreed turnaround times.
- Assess exceptions and deviations from the standard support process and takes appropriate actions to ensure correct and timely processing
- Should be familiar with the Settlements process and shall be able to effectively communicate between the Custodians/Counterparties to check timely settlements of trades
- Adhering to the agreed client SLAs
- Experience working on OMGEO, CTM, NYFIX will be an added advantage
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and work independently
- Willing to work in shifts including APAC and EMEA
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Sciences, or another related field.
- 5+ years minimum experience in Middle/Back-Office support role at Hedge Fund, Fund Administrator or Prime Broker
