What we would be looking for in the future when a Subject Matter Expert, Azure position opens up:
The Microsoft Azure SME will help secure and protect customer workloads running in Azure. The SME team reports to the CTO and connects customers, sales, product, and engineering so that we are building, selling, and delivering the best solutions in the market.
What we expect the Azure SME to do:
- Engage with Customers and Prospects: Drive conversations with our largest customers and prospects to understand their needs and help them understand Druva’s solutions
- Enable Sales and SE teams: Generate training materials and help the field teams understand how to connect with cloud teams and position Druva’s solutions
- Connect with Partners: Help partners to position Druva’s solutions for customers and understand how it is unique in their portfolio of products
- Influence Product: Understand customers’ technical and business requirements and work with product to guide the roadmap, pricing, and GTM motions
- Assist Engineering: Leverage expertise in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem to help engineering design the product in the best way
- Expand thought leadership: help build written and/or recorded collateral and speak at industry events to proactively build Druva’s brand in Azure
- Collaborate with the SME team: To deliver influence that spans across all aspects of the solution - including security, the Microsoft ecosystem, and multiple public clouds
- Engage with Industry analysts and evangelize Druva’s value proposition in Azure
- Understand the competitive landscape and help position Druva product differentiation
What we expect the role to bring:
- 7+ years of technical experience in cloud, with 3+ of those in Microsoft Azure
- Strong and comprehensive understanding of data protection and security
- 10+ years of experience directly working with customers (sales, support, product)
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including ability to present to internal and external executive level stakeholders
- Understanding of how customers run real cloud environments
- Ability to distill complex security and protection topics to communicate to non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK Framework, Threat Actor groups and their TTPs
- Familiarity of nuanced differences in cloud practices across Industry segments and verticals
- Awareness of Sales, Marketing, and Engineering processes

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $208,000 and $346,667/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized, non-discriminatory factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, and equity. Additionally, full-time employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits program, including health and wellness benefits, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance coverages, and other benefits the Company may offer from time to time.
