Job Description:
Providing for loved ones, planning rewarding retirements, saving enough for whatever lies ahead – our policyholders count on us to be there when it matters most. It’s a big ask, but it’s one that we have the power to deliver when we work together. We collaborate and innovate – pushing one another to transform not just Pacific Life, but the entire industry for the better. Why? Because it’s the right thing to do. Pacific Life is more than a job, it’s a career with purpose. It’s a career where you have the support, balance, and resources to make a positive impact on the future – including your own.
We’re actively seeking a talented Studio Production Manager to join our Creative Services Department within our Consumer Markets Division in Newport Beach, CA.
As a Studio Production Manager, you’ll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by overseeing the daily operations of the creative team—balancing resources, schedules, and priorities to ensure deadlines are met and creative standards are upheld. Acting as the bridge between creative, internal departments, and external creative agencies, the Studio Production Manager fosters collaboration, consistency, and operational excellence across all production workflows. You will fill a new role that sits on a Creative Services team within the Marketing department of Pacific Life's Consumer Markets Division. You will report directly to the AVP of Creative Services and work alongside the leaders and team members of the Content, Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, and UX teams within Creative Services, as well as across the Marketing department with leaders and team members of the Marketing Strategy, Marketing Operations, and Digital Execution teams. Although we are mainly an in-house creative team, we do outsource some work and will look to the Studio Production Manager to help manage and coordinate with agencies as well.
How you’ll help move us forward:
Manage daily creative workflow, ensuring projects are properly prioritized and resourced
Work with Marketing Operations team on necessary schedule adjustments, ensuring on-time delivery of all assets
Partner with creative leaders to forecast workloads, allocate resources, and identify bottlenecks
Serve as a key liaison between creative teams (design, copy, video, UX) and business partners
Foster a positive, solution-oriented culture that balances creativity with operational rigor
Oversee relationships with freelancers and external agency partners
Partner with creative leaders and Marketing Operations to optimize project intake and tracking systems
Maintain documentation and training materials for creative procedures and standards
The experience you bring:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
7+ years of production management experience within a creative studio, marketing department, or agency environment.
Strong understanding of creative production workflows for print, digital, and video
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud and digital asset management systems
Working knowledge of print production, file prep, and post-production workflows
What makes you stand out:
A calm and diplomatic problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Equally comfortable discussing creative vision and operational logistics
Skilled at balancing creative excellence with business efficiency
Passionate about building systems that empower teams to do their best work
