The Commodities Structurer is a is an intermediate level position responsible for originating, evaluating, and executing Commodities structured product solutions for Citi’s North America power clients. Role requires in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis to solve problems and develop new, innovative solutions. Role also requires collaboration with Citi’s Banking and Markets teams to proactively develop and improve client relationships as well as the overall client experience when dealing with Citi.  

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with sales, trading, legal and other relevant teams to constantly improve the platform
  • Detailed financial analysis, due diligence, projection modeling, stress testing, risk ratings and other in-depth credit analysis for new Commodities opportunities
  • In-depth understanding and application of Citi specific systems to help support daily operations in conjunction with the origination team
  • Marketing presentations and participation to client meetings
  • Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance, in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
  • Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
  • Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; and ensure that all team members understand the need to do the same, demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation
  • Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services; and ensure that all team members understand the need to do the same.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience from a financial institution or energy trading company
  • Prior knowledge of structured financing and derivatives
  • Advanced analytical skills including the ability to read and assess company financial statements, cash flow, industry and competitive analysis and projections
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$150,000.00 - $175,000.00
