Why You'll Love This Role

Are you ready to drive meaningful impact at a fast-growing tech company? At Cribl, we are passionate about helping companies unlock the value of their IT and Security data and our centralized Strategy & Operations team plays a key part in realizing that vision. As a member of StratOps, you’ll operate at the center of Cribl’s most important initiatives. You'll partner directly with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to define strategy, turn it into action, and ensure disciplined execution as we scale. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, brings structure to chaos, and enjoys solving hard, cross-functional business problems.

Your role will involve partnering with cross-functional teams including finance, product, and go-to-market to deliver high-impact programs that drive our strategy and create long-term success.

We pride ourselves on fostering a collaborative and innovative culture where team members enjoy working together, whether remotely or over a meal during our offsites. If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to a company poised for generational success in the tech industry, we want to hear from you!

As An Active Member Of Our Team, You Will ...

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and long-term programs, collaborating closely with functional leaders and Cribl’s executive team. Examples include annual and quarterly planning processes, pricing committee, and board meeting content preparation
  • Design and implement company-wide processes to track priorities, goals, and results, ensuring high-quality deliverables
  • Tackle complex, ambiguous problems by synthesizing diverse stakeholder opinions, forming recommendations, and developing end-to-end solutions
  • Drive special ad hoc projects from inception to completion as directed by business leaders to enable state changes in the business
  • Manage and improve business cadence for key company-wide and cross-functional reviews (e.g., QBRs)

If You've Got It - We Want It

  • Experience: 10+ years in corporate strategy, consulting, or business operations roles at top firms or tech companies
  • Strategic Planning: Self-motivated with strong multitasking abilities and effective program management skills, with ability to organize and manage multiple company-wide initiatives in parallel
  • Problem Solving and Insight: Adaptable and results-oriented systems thinker who thrives in ambiguous environments, learns quickly, and approaches challenges entrepreneurially
  • Communication and Influence: Excellent verbal and visual communication skills with the ability to influence diverse personalities and present to C-level stakeholders
  • Analytical Ability: Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills, including advanced problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • Leadership: Ability to work independently, drive cross-functional initiatives, and lead without direct authority
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Leverage functional empathy to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, understand diverse perspectives, and align on shared objectives to achieve results

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
