LogicMonitor is seeking a Manager, Strategy & M&A to join our Strategy team. This role will play a critical part in driving high-priority, cross-functional initiatives that shape LogicMonitor’s long-term growth and strategic direction.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role for a strong strategic thinker who thrives in ambiguity, can independently drive complex workstreams, and excels at translating analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for executive leadership. The right candidate is entrepreneurial, structured, and comfortable owning workstreams end-to-end — from framing the problem to driving alignment and delivering results. The role spans corporate strategy, M&A, integration, and special projects at the center of the company.

Here's a closer look at this key role:

Lead High-Impact Corporate Strategy Initiatives
  • Own and drive high-priority, cross-functional strategic initiatives across product, go-to-market (GTM), growth, and operations.  Examples may include closely partnering with GTM leaders on LogicMonitor’s geo expansion strategy, evaluating new offerings and business models, etc.
  • Rapidly ramp into new strategic problem areas, structure ambiguous questions, and independently drive analyses through recommendation and execution planning
  • Conduct end-to-end strategic analyses, including current state assessment, financial modeling, and scenario analysis
  • Develop clear, executive-ready presentations and materials for senior leadership discussions
  • Partner closely with the Director of Strategy & M&A and VP of Strategy to refine priorities, pressure-test thinking, and ensure disciplined execution
Own Cross-Functional Integration Programs
  • Own and manage key cross-functional integration programs tied to existing acquisitions, ensuring execution against deal thesis and value drivers
  • Drive alignment across Product, GTM, Finance, and Operations to track milestones, resolve risks, and maintain accountability
  • Build and manage structured program plans, tracking mechanisms, and executive reporting
  • Identify issues early and proactively escalate or course-correct to ensure integration success
Support Inorganic Growth & M&A Strategy
  • Drive structured build vs. buy vs. partner frameworks and supporting business cases
  • Support development of LogicMonitor’s inorganic growth strategy by researching priority opportunity areas and emerging adjacencies
  • Conduct market and competitive research to identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets
  • Contribute to business case development, diligence preparation, and integration planning for potential transactions
  • Partner with Competitive & Market Insights to monitor industry trends and consolidation dynamics
What You'll Need:
  • 6+ years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, investment banking, corporate development, or strategy roles at high-growth technology companies
  • Experience in enterprise SaaS, B2B software, infrastructure, observability, or adjacent markets preferred
  • Familiarity with M&A processes and financial analysis is a plus, but not a hard requirement
  • Experience driving cross-functional initiatives or programs across multiple stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills, including market analysis, competitive research, and financial modeling
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills; able to break down complex, ambiguous problems into structured analyses and actionable insights
  • Proven ability to connect big-picture strategy with detailed analytics and execution plans
  • Demonstrated ownership mindset — comfortable driving workstreams end-to-end with limited direction
  • Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex analyses into crisp, compelling narratives for senior leaders
  • Highly organized and process-driven, with the flexibility to adapt as priorities evolve
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth environments with shifting priorities

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
