About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Strategy and Execution Senior Lead for the Retail Auto Business who will be a key driver of strategic growth initiatives and business development efforts that shape the future of Wells Fargo's Retail Auto business. This role requires a strong strategic mindset, deep analytical capabilities, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders through compelling storytelling and executive-level presentations. In addition to strategy, this position will focus on managing new business opportunities and ensuring alignment across leadership teams to prioritize initiatives that deliver measurable impact.
In this role, you will:
  • Lead complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives focused on growth, optimization, and transformation of the Retail Auto business
  • Provide principal-level strategic consulting services to internal partners, helping define and execute business strategies aligned with market trends and customer needs
  • Analyze large-scale challenges and opportunities within the auto lending space, including competitive positioning, customer experience, product innovation, and operational efficiency
  • Identify and assess strategic investments, partnerships, and business development opportunities that support the Retail Auto business
  • Evaluate and approve processes related to identified strategic opportunities
  • Make decisions in complex situations that guide and influence broader teams to meet deliverables and drive innovation
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced team members
  • Collaborate across all levels of the organization to resolve issues, align on goals, and ensure successful execution of initiatives
  • Partner with Auto leadership to define the Retail Auto strategy and translate it into actionable business plans
  • Communicate strategy and business plans effectively to senior leadership and cross-functional teams
Business Development & Leadership Interface
  • Drive business development initiatives by managing and establishing prioritization around new market opportunities, strategic partnerships, and revenue-generating programs
  • Manage a pipeline of opportunities, ensuring timely evaluation, prioritization, and execution in alignment with enterprise goals
  • Serve as a key interface across the Retail Auto leadership team, facilitating discussions to prioritize initiatives and allocate resources effectively
  • Partner with senior leaders to develop go-to-market strategies, assess competitive landscapes, and recommend actions that accelerate growth
  • Monitor performance metrics for business development activities and provide insights to leadership for continuous improvement
Executive Presentation & Storytelling
  • Develop high-impact, executive-level presentations that clearly articulate the Retail Auto strategy, business performance, and strategic recommendations
  • Translate complex data and insights into clear, visually engaging materials tailored for senior leadership audiences
  • Craft strategic narratives that support decision-making at the highest levels, including business reviews
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to refine messaging and ensure alignment with enterprise priorities
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience or interest in developing subject-matter expertise in auto finance, consumer lending, or consumer banking
  • Background in consulting or a strong consultative approach to problem-solving
  • Proven experience independently leading strategic initiatives or distinct bodies of work
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication/storytelling skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with a strong ability to build executive-ready presentations
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$139,000.00 - $260,000.00
