As a Sr. Sourcing & Procurement Analyst within the Strategic Sourcing and Procurement (SS&P) group, you will leverage your thought leadership and subject matter expertise to execute sourcing initiatives in support of the enterprise-wide business priorities of the Information Technology Group (ITG).

By leveraging your continuous improvement mindset, you will enable smooth operations between the sourcing teams, ITG stakeholders and other internal partners such as Finance, Program Management, Risk and Legal.  You will help drive business value by developing strategies for and leading negotiations, including complex contracting negotiations.  Additionally, you will be responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost optimization initiatives, proactively manage expectations and address concerns related to sourcing activities, manage supplier relationships, and negotiate favorable contract terms while ensuring compliance with company policies and best practices. 

You will be responsible for creating an IT focused sourcing methodology and be directly responsible for facilitating RFx. You will collaborate with ITG partners in developing “make vs. buy” strategies, facilitate large spend highly visible RFP events, and redline business, price, and service level contract terms.

Lastly, you will drive process optimization, vendor management enablement and category management. Every day, you’ll leverage your end-to-end sourcing, contracting, vendor management expertise to make recommendations to support business needs.

  • You have previous experience in strategic sourcing and are comfortable leading the development and execution of strategic sourcing strategies for complex goods and services in the following focus areas: Technology outsourced labor, services, assets, and applications including but not limited to; Enterprise SasS based applications, Complex Infrastructure, Cloud, and Networking categories of spend, and managed service agreements. . 
  • You have previous experience with in-depth sourcing planning, including, conducting in-depth market research to identify potential suppliers and assess market trends, develop comprehensive sourcing strategies for assigned categories, including cost reduction targets, supplier selection criteria, and risk mitigation plans, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear sourcing requirements.
  • You have a strategic mindset in Supplier negotiations and execution, including the ability to lead and manage complex sourcing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring optimal pricing and terms while balancing risk and value.
  • You have demonstrated ability to build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and can leverage relationships to influence senior business leaders on strategic sourcing strategies and manage expectations.
  • You can concisely convey contracting and commercial options and recommended path forward in summary fashion.
  • You have a deep understanding of sourcing principles, sourcing methodologies, and contract law.
  • You are proficient in data analysis, spend analytics, and financial modeling to identify cost savings opportunities.
  • You have extensive knowledge of relevant supplier markets, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • You’re highly curious in everything you do. You’re devoted to continuous learning, development, and you find new ways of challenging yourself.
  • You demonstrate effective and professional service orientation and build appropriate rapport with internal and external contacts.
  • You exercise good judgement and have a process for managing competing priorities. You are comfortable when priorities shift, and you manage change with steadfast composure.
  • You’re comfortable dealing with ambiguity and navigating situations without clear directions. You are a master in creating backup plans and alternative options when unforeseen circumstances arise.
  • You have prior experience within financial services and/or investment management.
  • 7+ years of advanced strategic sourcing experience with mastery of strategic and tactical procurement principles, practices, and models.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $121,652-$194,643

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
