Job Description

We are seeking a Strategic Recruiter to join our AECOM team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative recruitment strategies to attract top talent and support our organization's growth objectives.

This role will support our Strategic Recruitment initiatives by identifying, attracting, and securing critical, senior level talent. It requires a strategic mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build credibility with stakeholders at all levels. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in recruitment or senior level executives and demonstrate a strong presence when partnering with business leaders.

This position can be based in any US or Canada location where AECOM has an office presence.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Recruitment:

  • Lead recruitment efforts for senior-level and critical positions across the organization.
  • Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to identify and engage passive candidates.
  • Build and maintain robust talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.

Relationship Management:

  • Establish and build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and hiring managers.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by providing insights on market trends, salary benchmarks, and talent acquisition best practices.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, effectively promoting the firm's culture, values, and career opportunities to prospective candidates.

Candidate Assessment and Selection:

  • Conduct comprehensive interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates’ skills, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers throughout the evaluation process to ensure a rigorous, inclusive, and equitable selection experience.
  • Lead offer negotiations and collaborate with internal teams to finalize employment terms.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or a related field plus at least 6 years of experience in strategic recruitment, with a focus on senior positions, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. 
  • Experience in the A/E/C industry (Architecture, Engineering, Construction)
  • Proven success in developing and executing comprehensive talent acquisition strategies at a high level.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and emerging talent.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to navigate and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to run full cycle executive/strategic level searches.
