Strategic Product Operations Manager based in USA – Remote Setup

Avid Technology is seeking for a Strategic Product Operations Manager. This role sits at the core of our product delivery engine: connecting strategy to execution by ensuring that roadmap planning, feedback loops, launch coordination, and operational standards are tightly managed and continuously optimized. The Strategic Product Operations Manager will work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Executive teams to ensure smooth processes, clear visibility, and measurable outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Roadmap Planning and Governance

  • Lead the quarterly product planning process in coordination with Product Management and Engineering.

  • Maintain roadmap templates, standards, and governance frameworks to ensure consistent visibility and communication across the company.

  • Facilitate internal and external roadmap review cadences with key stakeholders, including sales, customer success, and executive leadership.

Feedback Integration and Prioritization

  • Centralize and operationalize customer, field, and internal feedback collection processes.

  • Triage, tag, and analyze feedback to identify key themes and ensure strategic inputs are considered during quarterly planning.

  • Partner with PMs and GTM teams to ensure feedback informs roadmap and prioritization decisions.

Go-To-Market (GTM) Launch Operations

  • Partner with Marketing and Product Management to support launch readiness processes.

  • Track and operationalize launch milestones and deliverables for each major product release.

  • Ensure GTM and product teams are aligned on launch plans, messaging, and timing.

Product Enablement and Process Improvement

  • Develop and maintain product management playbooks, process documentation, and operational templates.

  • Train and onboard product teams on best practices for intake, planning, tracking, and cross-functional coordination.

  • Continuously identify and implement improvements in how we plan, prioritize, and launch products.

Operational Visibility and Reporting

  • Support product operational reporting by tracking planning health, roadmap confidence, feedback cycle times, and GTM launch statuses.

  • Surface risks, blockers, and opportunities to Product and Executive leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Operations, Program Management, Product Management, or Strategic Operations roles.

  • Strong understanding of product development processes (Agile/Scrum, quarterly planning cycles, roadmap management).

  • Experience supporting cross-functional launch readiness and product lifecycle management.

  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; highly skilled at influencing and collaborating across teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, scaling environment.

  • Proficient with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Productboard, Confluence) and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, or equivalent).

Plus:

  • Experience working across both hardware and software product environments.

  • Experience operationalizing customer feedback systems or customer advisory boards (CABs).

  • Background supporting both B2B and B2C product organizations.

  • Familiarity with go-to-market planning processes and cross-functional launches.

WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO?

  • Join a global team and experience a dynamic, collaborative work environment that fosters innovation and growth.

  • Remote work model offering flexibility to balance work and life.

  • Access to development programs with strong support and mentoring to help you grow and advance within the company.

  • Equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, inclusivity, and creating a welcoming environment for all employees.

  • Attractive benefits package including health & life insurance, referral rewards, and generous leave policies to ensure a healthy work-life balance.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
