The Strategic Partner Operations Specialist is a core member of the Corporate Development Operations team, responsible for turning partner strategy into scalable, data‑driven, well‑governed execution. This role reports to the Sr. Director, Corporate Development Operations and sits at the intersection of systems, analytics, documentation, and automation, with a primary focus on:
Knowledge & Enablement – how Partner and Corporate Development knowledge is structured, documented, and consumed.
Analytics Infrastructure & Self‑Serve – how dashboards, metrics, and views are built and maintained so stakeholders can act quickly and make data-driven decisions.
The role serves as a key operational backbone for the Partner Program, ensuring partner onboarding, engagement, and performance are supported by clear playbooks, accurate data, and scalable processes.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building: designing structure in tools like Salesforce, Looker Studio, Google Sheets, Confluence, Google Apps Script, and Workato, and then using that structure to make partner operations predictable, measurable, and self-serve at scale.

Knowledge & Enablement

Own the knowledge architecture and playbooks that allow partner work to scale without being dependent on individuals.

  • Design and maintain a consistent structure for partner spaces (e.g., overview, tech/implementation guides, Q2C runbooks, support procedures, FAQs, dashboards, and key links).

  • Standardize and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and checklists for core partner flows (onboarding, implementations, cancellations, notifications, and related M&A integration touchpoints).

  • Ensure each artifact has a clear owner, last‑updated date, and linkage back to the systems and data it describes.

  • Develop quick reference guides and “Partner/Operations 101” content, and support lightweight training and office hours so teams know how to use the tools and processes that exist.

Analytics Infrastructure & Self‑Serve

Lead the design, build, and maintenance of dashboards and metrics that support execution and decision‑making for partner operations and the broader operations function.

  • Deliver and maintain core dashboards in Looker Studio and Google Sheets, covering areas such as onboarding pipeline and status, quote‑to‑cash and billing quality, partner health/whitespace, and operations workload/throughput.

  • Use Salesforce as the primary data source, working closely with the Systems & Data domain owner to align on fields, report types, and data quality standards so dashboards remain reliable and explainable.

  • Make analytics self‑serve: design dashboards and views that are easy for key stakeholders across the organization and leadership to use.

  • Provide metric definitions and calculations that feed the operational scorecard and performance reviews, and iterate dashboards as expectations and questions evolve.

  • Use insights from dashboards and reports to identify operational issues and partner friction points, and work with domain owners to design and support corrective actions and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Systems, data, automation, and AI

  • Work with Salesforce, Glean, and related systems to design and consume reports and insights that power dashboards, operational monitoring, and partner‑level decision making.

  • Build and maintain Google Sheets‑based data models and reporting assets, including advanced formulas, lookups, and data validation to keep metrics accurate and auditable.

  • Use Looker Studio to create layered dashboards and views that support both day‑to‑day execution and leadership reviews.

  • Apply Google Apps Script, Workato, and AI tools such as Glean agents (where appropriate) to automate recurring tasks such as data refreshes, notifications, quality checks, and simple integrations between tools.

Process excellence and intake

  • Partner with the Process Excellence & Automation and Systems & Data domains to map current‑state partner/operations workflows, identify bottlenecks or failure points, and design future‑state flows with clear RACI, SLAs, and stage gates.

  • Support the intake and triage of new operational work (via request forms, Jira, Slack, etc.), helping to categorize, estimate, and route work into sprints or project plans in a transparent way.

  • Partner with domain leads to translate recurring issues into structured improvement work (e.g., new SOPs, automation, or data model changes), closing the loop between observed problems and lasting fixes.

Documentation and enablement

  • Translate complex systems, data flows, and automations into clear SOPs and guides that can be followed by partner managers, operations, and cross‑functional teams.

  • Keep the Confluence knowledge base current and navigable, ensuring that partner spaces and internal operations documentation remain a trustworthy source of truth.

Partner Program operational support

  • Support the Partner Program by ensuring partner onboarding, communications, and health metrics are operationalized through clear documentation, dashboards, and tooling.

  • Collaborate with Partner Management to refine how program tiers, benefits, and performance signals are represented in systems and reports.

Cross‑functional collaboration and governance

  • Collaborate with key cross functional stakeholders to ensure that changes to partners, products, contracts, and systems are reflected in documentation, dashboards, and operational controls.

  • Contribute data and insights into Corporate Development’s governance rhythms (e.g., scorecard reviews, incident/post‑mortem reviews, and integration/portfolio discussions).

Quality and execution discipline

  • Ensures deliverables (dashboards, documentation, automations) are high‑quality, well‑tested, and delivered on time, with clear owners and handoffs.

Other duties as assigned

  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support the evolving needs of Corporate Development Operations team.

Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in operations, automation, business systems, analytics, or partner operations roles in a SaaS, fintech, or similar environment.

  • Working knowledge of SaaS and vendor/partner ecosystems.

  • Strong hands‑on technical experience with:

    • Google Apps Script (or comparable scripting) for automating Sheets/Workspace workflows.

    • Workato (or similar iPaaS) for building and maintaining automations between systems.

    • Salesforce (or similar CRM) reports and data structures.

    • Looker Studio (or equivalent BI) and Google Sheets/Excel at an advanced level.

    • Experience with Glean or similar AI‑enabled search/agent platforms for knowledge retrieval, summarization, and operational workflows is strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to design, build, and maintain dashboards and data models that stakeholders actually use for decisions.

  • Experience authoring and maintaining SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge base content in tools like Confluence or similar.

  • Familiarity with Jira or other work management tools for managing backlogs, sprints, and project work.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; comfortable tracing issues across systems, data, and process.

  • Ability to proactively identify and resolve process issues in a timely manner.

  • Excellent written communication skills; able to translate technical systems and data into clear, concise documentation and executive‑ready views.

Desired Skills:
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional workstreams and coordinate with multiple stakeholder groups around shared dashboards, processes, and automations.

  • Track record of identifying manual, error‑prone workflows and replacing them with clear, automated, or templatized solutions.

  • Comfort operating as a builder/owner who can move between conceptual design and hands‑on configuration in tools, scripts, and dashboards.

  • High degree of adaptability and flexibility, with a proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.

  • Ability to work independently with limited direction, while knowing when to escalate risks or decisions.

  • Familiarity with banking concepts and terminology in the financial services industry.

  • Comfortable working with software development lifecycle (SDLC) concepts and terminology (e.g., epics, sprints, releases).

  • Stays current on industry trends and best practices in partner operations, revenue/operations tooling, and corporate development operations, and brings forward ideas to continuously improve internal processes and tooling.

  • Interest in experimenting with AI‑enabled tools (e.g., search/agents, note‑summarization, content generation) to further reduce manual work and improve self‑service.

  • Ability to balance detailed orientation (accurate data, precise documentation) with strategic context, understanding how operations supports the broader Corporate Development strategy for partners and M&A.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
