TPUSA Communities is a department within Turning Point USA focused on building a nationwide network of local chapters that activate individuals and families to strengthen their communities and take meaningful action at the local level. Through leadership development and grassroots engagement, we equip everyday Americans—including families, young professionals, and veterans and first responders—to defend their values and create real impact where they live.
The Strategic Manager – Heroes USA provides national leadership for TPUSA Communities’ Heroes USA group. This role is responsible for building, scaling, and maintaining a strong nationwide network that effectively engages veterans and first responders through local chapters, leadership development, and targeted programming. The Strategic Manager leads a team of Field Representatives and ensures that chapter growth, event execution, and engagement within this lane meet national standards and goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Own and lead the Heroes USA group nationwide;
- Develop and execute strategies for growth, engagement, and retention;
- Manage, and support Field Representatives responsible for chapter execution;
- Identify, recruit, and develop strong leaders within this community;
- Build systems for onboarding, leadership development, and training;
- Stay informed on issues, culture, and trends impacting veterans and first responders'
- Track performance metrics across chapters and ensure accountability;
- Collaborate with internal teams to align messaging and initiatives;
- Represent TPUSA Communities at events, trainings, and public-facing engagements.
- Direct experience as a U.S. military veteran or first responder, OR extensive experience working within these communities;
- Strong understanding of the culture, challenges, and opportunities within this audience;
- Proven leadership experience managing teams or large-scale initiatives;
- Strong organizational and communication skills;
- Ability to manage remote teams and drive accountability;
- Alignment with TPUSA’s mission and values;
- Willingness to travel 30%–40%;
- Demonstrates the physical ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time, and safely lift up to 15 lbs;
- Valid driver's license and ability and willingness to travel as needed.
- Experience building veteran or first responder initiatives at scale;
- Strong national network within these communities;
- Background in leadership development or training;
- Experience building programs from the ground up.
