As a Strategic Initiatives Senior Manager, you will be responsible for initiative leadership across a diverse span of new business opportunities, help grow Crunchyroll, and build Anime fandom worldwide. This is an individual contributor role that is a critical part of our Emerging Business team, which includes Business Development, Games, and eCommerce.
You will join a small Strategic Initiatives team that builds new business lines within Emerging Business, and managing OKR planning. You will collaborate with cross departmental partners of all levels across the company, and will create executive-facing presentations. Success will be defined on a project by project basis, and will always include research, strategy setting, cross-departmental execution, and results.
- Learn about new business areas within Emerging Business, including competitive landscape research and data analysis.
- Create strategies to approach new business areas, in partnership with Strategic Initiatives leadership, and set metrics to define success, tied to Crunchyroll's goals.
- Collaborate across departments to validate strategies, align business goals, and set execution plans.
- Lead implementation of initiatives, including project tracking and cross departmental collaboration, and report on performance data and make go-forward recommendations for improvements.
- Create executive-facing presentations to explain and support new business area strategies. Partner with the Finance team to create financial models and return on investment projections.
In the role of Strategic Initiatives Senior Manager, you will report to the VP, Strategic Initiatives.

- You have 8+ years of experience setting strategies for high-visibility initiatives and building them end-to-end, within a large-scale corporate environment.
- You have experience working in consulting or finance at a top-tier professional services organization.
- You value internal relationships and have experience working across departments and levels to achieve business results.
- You have experience building presentations for C-level executives and are comfortable presenting to that audience.
- You measure success through data and always look for ways to improve. You have experience managing financial forecasts and metrics-based goals.
- Undergraduate degree, or equivalent professional services experience.
Nice to have:
- You have earned an MBA degree.
- You possess experience coordinating and managing corporate OKRs.
- You have worked within the Games, Ecommerce, or Entertainment industry previously.
- You are a passionate Anime fan.
The Strategic Initiatives team reports into the Emerging Business organization, which covers Business Development, Games, and eCommerce. It is a small, high-performance team that sets strategy and facilitates cross-departmental execution for new business lines within Emerging Business. Additionally, Strategic Initiatives manages OKR planning for the Emerging Business organization. We help bring Anime to global fans in new, creative ways, acquiring and engaging Crunchyroll subscribers.
