Strategic Growth Manager, Financial Products

We are seeking a commercial, strategic, and results-driven individual to join Adyen as a Strategic Growth Manager focused on Financial Products. At Adyen, we’re building the financial technology platform of the future. Joining our Strategic Growth team means driving the next phase of that journey connecting innovative financial solutions with the world’s most dynamic merchants.

Our team drives expansion across our strategic merchant base, working closely with Account Management, Commercial Strategy and Product teams globally. In this role, you’ll be responsible for growing adoption of Adyen’s financial products including banking, treasury, and liquidity solutions by leading high-impact commercial deals and strategic projects that align with both Adyen’s and our merchants’ objectives.

If you have a background in commercial dealmaking, strong treasury expertise, and a passion for driving growth through financial innovation, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Work On

High-Impact Financial Product Deals
Lead strategic commercial opportunities aimed at expanding revenue within Adyen’s existing merchant base through treasury and liquidity solutions. You will be hands-on throughout the full sales cycle from identifying opportunities and designing solutions to negotiating and closing complex deals. Partnering with Account Managers, you’ll expand our share-of-wallet by incorporating financial products into merchant strategies and enabling long-term success.

Strategic Projects (Commercial Execution)
Contribute to high-priority, cross-functional initiatives that drive the adoption of Adyen’s financial products. Collaborate with Product and Commercial Strategy teams to shape go-to-market strategies for solutions such as FX optimization, cash pooling, and credit facilities. You’ll help bring these offerings to life through commercial execution and market feedback, ensuring they deliver measurable impact for merchants and align with Adyen’s long-term growth objectives.

Who You Are

  • Experienced Treasury Dealmaker: ~8 years of experience in commercial dealmaking roles across banking, fintech, or treasury services, with a proven track record of closing complex enterprise deals. Strong understanding of liquidity and treasury management solutions, including FX, sweeps, and credit facilities.
  • Commercial and Strategic Mindset: Adept at translating complex financial challenges into clear commercial strategies. Skilled in structuring partnerships and negotiating high-value deals that create mutual value for merchants and Adyen.
  • Strong Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to and influencing senior finance, treasury, and C-level stakeholders.
  • Collaborative Player: You thrive in cross-functional environments and work effectively across Account Management, Commercial Strategy, Product, and Leadership teams. You embody Adyen’s “team over ego” principle while driving tangible commercial outcomes.
  • Builder and Problem Solver: You bring a starter-builder mindset, using analytical thinking and hands-on execution to uncover opportunities and drive early-stage product growth. You thrive in fast-paced environments and focus relentlessly on impact and long-term success.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
