The Strategic Growth Executive will expand the company’s presence across health plans, payer organizations, pharmacy benefit organizations, and healthcare technology markets.
Reporting to the Vice President, Growth, this is a senior individual contributor role responsible for developing executive relationships, working qualified opportunities, advancing strategic sales pursuits, and closing complex enterprise transactions. The Strategic Growth Executive will serve as a trusted advisor to payer and healthcare leaders, helping them address challenges across care management, utilization management, member administration, pharmacy, quality, compliance, complaints, appeals and grievances, interoperability, workflow automation, and artificial intelligence.
The successful candidate will combine deep healthcare and payer expertise with strong enterprise sales experience and the ability to navigate complex buying environments. This individual will work closely with Marketing, Sales Enablement, Product, Strategic Consulting, Solutions Architecture, Client Experience, Professional Services, Finance, Legal, and Operations to create differentiated solutions and deliver measurable value to customers.
Position Responsibilities:
Strategic Growth and Enterprise Sales
Develop and execute strategic account and territory plans to drive new-logo, expansion, cross-sell, up-sell, and competitive displacement opportunities.
Build and manage a strong enterprise pipeline, leading complex consultative sales cycles from discovery through negotiation and contract execution.
Build executive-level relationships with health plans, PBMs, managed care organizations, and other payer organizations, effectively positioning MHK’s solutions and value proposition.
Develop competitive strategies, maintain accurate forecasts and pipeline reporting, and partner with executive leadership on strategic and high-value opportunities.
Customer and Market Engagement
Maintain deep knowledge of the payer market, including business models, operational and regulatory priorities, financial pressures, technology needs, and competitive trends.
Lead executive discovery and value-based discussions to identify customer challenges and translate them into compelling solution strategies and measurable business outcomes.
Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare executives while representing MHK at conferences, client meetings, and other industry events.
Gather and communicate customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and market trends to inform MHK’s product, sales, and growth strategies.
Cross-Functional Commercial Execution
Partner with Marketing and Sales Enablement on target-account strategies, campaigns, events, thought leadership, and competitive positioning.
Collaborate with Product, Clinical, and Professional Services to align customer needs with MHK’s capabilities, roadmap, packaging, and solution strategy.
Partner with Finance and Legal on pricing, proposals, business cases, contracting, and commercial approvals.
Coordinate with Client Experience, Account Management, Implementation, and Operations to support expansion opportunities and ensure effective post-sale handoffs.
Education/Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, marketing, technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- This position will require up to 30% travel to MHK locations (Tampa, FL & Madison, CT) as well as customer sites and conferences as necessary.
- Must be able to work actively across all time zones as necessary.
