We are looking for a Strategic Finance Senior Director reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Finance. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Company’s IPO preparation efforts, laying the groundwork for its investor relations strategy, and supporting strategic finance growth initiatives such as M&A. By virtue of this function, this person will have ad hoc FP&A responsibilities to support these and related strategic finance areas. This role will interact regularly with senior executives and their staff across all departments, as well as the Board of Directors.  

You are the ideal candidate if you have a strong background in financial data analysis, reporting, and executive presentation, along with experience in buy-side software investments and preparing companies for an IPO process or fundraising.

Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do 

  • Lead the preparation of private investor relations materials including mock public earnings release documents 
  • Leveraging the COBIT standard, establish an Infoblox IT General Control framework. Document the design of controls and monitor for independent testing.Collaborate with leaders in Finance, Product, GTM and Strategy to shape, articulate and manage the Company’s investment story and support Investor Relations (IR) in maintaining a strong presence in the investment community 
  • Collaborate with the Accounting and Legal departments to prepare for other investor relations requirements for public company readiness, including materials to be included in public filings 
  • Support IR with its relationships with external partners, investors, and financial institutions during the IPO process or potential financing events 
  • Support ad hoc strategic growth transactions, including potential mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships, by leading/supporting financial modeling, due diligence, and business integration 
  • Lead financial modeling of strategic investments and preparation of related business cases on an ad hoc basis 
  • Assist in preparing reports and analyses to company shareholders/owners. Support the preparation of ad hoc analyses for senior leadership addressing any questions from the Board of Directors 
  • Monitor industry and competitor developments for the purpose of maintaining updated benchmarks, comparing the Company’s performance to such benchmarks and shaping the Company’s investment story to investors 
  • Participate in or lead corporate strategic programs, involving cross-functional collaboration and finance-led execution 

Be Prepared — What You Bring 

  • A minimum of 6 to 10 years of related and relevant experience is required 
  • Prior experience with M&A, integration, portfolio company investment management, and investor relations 
  • Prior experience in a B2B tech/software/SaaS with a deep understanding of enterprise software business, particularly with a solid background in subscription models for both cloud and on-premises scenarios preferred 
  • Experience as a software research analyst, buy-side investor or operating partner in a private-equity environment, or investment banker 
  • Experience in driving post-acquisition integration or investment value creation 
  • Knowledge of traditional B2B SaaS/Software business models, metrics and related KPIs 
  • Demonstrated expertise in finance and strategic planning, including core competencies in financial modeling and analysis, capital budgeting, investor relations support and familiarity with corporate accounting 
  • Outstanding executive presentation skills which enable highlighting key drivers in consumable formats 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and proven experience in cultivating collaborative working relationships with teams across an organization 
  • Strong business acumen coupled with an executive presence. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, organizational and management skills 
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite; highly proficient Excel and PowerPoint including financial modeling skills using large datasets with multiple data sources 
  • Prior experience in a high-tech/software/SaaS preferred 
  • Tableau, Adaptive Planning and/or Oracle Financials experience a plus 
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance

  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: builds a process and/or tool for initial use, and then works to steadily improve over time – by gathering feedback from stakeholders, tracking KPIs re: the process or tool; benchmarking to peer companies; etc.
