Strategic Buyer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Buyer to join our aerospace procurement team. This key role will be responsible for driving strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement activities for critical aerospace components and services. The Senior Buyer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage complex contracts, and ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of materials, while adhering to stringent quality and regulatory standards specific to the aerospace industry.

General Responsibilities
• Collaborates with the supply chain manager regarding maintaining proper inventory levels of materials used on a regular basis
• Key participant in the filling of purchase orders
• Organizes purchasing requisitions
• Key participant in the development of creating an accurate and efficient monitoring system
• Collaborates on entering data into databases or other computerized systems to maintain up-to-date supplier and vendor information, to track purchases and the status of orders and deliveries, and to generate purchasing reports and statistics
Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

•Strategic Sourcing: Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for aerospace materials, components, and services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and cost optimization.

•Supplier Management: Identify and establish strong relationships with key suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, and monitor performance to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery, and compliance with contractual obligations.

• Cost Optimization & Negotiation: Develop and execute negotiation strategies to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and long-term partnerships with suppliers. Achieve cost reductions while maintaining or improving quality standards.

• Contract Management: Oversee the development, negotiation, and administration of supplier contracts, ensuring all terms and conditions align with business needs and legal/regulatory requirements.

Base Salary Range:

$82,000.00 - $112,750.00
