What We DoThe Strategic Analysis Group (SAG), supports the First American- Direct Title Group of Businesses with key analysis support to inform business and technology strategy. The group consists of analysis professionals and leaders who are skilled, certified and experienced in Business Analysis, Business Architecture, Process Architecture and Business Systems Analysis. The SAG has rich experience in leading, informing, and supporting multiple analysis efforts both in the strategy and implementation phases enabling business & technology transformations within the Enterprise.
The Manager, Strategic Analysis is a key role within the Strategic Analysis Group, providing analysis and people leadership. This role will manage a high performing team of BA and/or BSAs within the Direct Title Group of Businesses and also acts as the Lead Analyst for key analysis efforts.
The manager will work closely with SAG’s leadership team to implement a vision for developing an Analysis Center of Excellence and rolling out industry best practices. They will act as a strategic liaison with business/technology stakeholders to understand their needs, identify gaps, map current state, and provide findings and recommendations to drive process improvement, efficiency or other solutions. The SA Manager is a strong mentor and leader; regularly leading wide-ranging projects / functions /processes. The manager will bring broad experience that will allow for in-depth problem solving and creative solutions to enable our partner and customer’s success.

HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE

  • Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams from business, technology and external partners to identify business needs, and ensure appropriate analysis support is provided to meet the goals for various product and process initiatives and rollouts
  • Acts as a Lead Analyst on key initiatives to regularly lead and manage a wide range of projects and functions with cross functional dependencies. Brings top notch analysis expertise to the group
  • Conducts business process evaluations to gain deep knowledge of complex business requirements, maps current state and develops future state by identifying findings and opportunities.
  • Is a strategic partner, acts as a liaison between the business, product, design, research and engineering teams including offshore staff and provides subject matter expertise from an Analysis perspective
  • Leads and mentors the team in utilizing and applying Business, Process & System analysis best practices all through product or software development lifecycle (Discovery, MVP development, Design, Development, Testing. Launch and maintenance)
  • Oversees the creation and maintenance of required supporting documentation following best practices within an agile framework (e.g. API, business rules, user stories, data validation etc.)
  • Sets and manages team goals and objectives for day-to-day operations and projects to meet timelines
  • Participates in hiring process, writes and conducts performance reviews, manages disciplinary actions, and other HR activities for the team as required
  • Provides inputs, necessary reports and presentations to leadership to help inform roadmaps, budgets, resource planning, team meetings and strategy
  • Leads the creation of a Center of Excellence for the Strategic Analysis Group
  • Manages risk and priorities against business needs
  • Other duties as assigned

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • CBAP or IIBA Certifications, PBA, Agile certifications, CBA
  • Typically, 7+ years of directly related experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Business Analysis, Process Analysis, Business Systems Analysis, Agile and Product methodologies, best practices and industry standards
  • Experience in leading analysis on major digital transformation programs in complex environments preferred
  • Strong diagnostic and analytical skills to identify issues and drive appropriate solutions
  • Strong business acumen with a passion for seeking insights and connecting the dots through qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Must be confident communicator with exceptional abilities in presenting, influencing and collaborating with internal and external partners at management level for success
  • Standard Microsoft office skillset
  • Excellent organization and Program/ project management skills to ensure success in managing multiple efforts
  • Rich experience and knowledge in creating and maintaining analysis documentation, including but not limited to: user stories, use cases, functional requirements, process maps, API analysis, writing test cases, capturing business rules, data analysis etc.
  • Knowledge of Title insurance & settlement services operations is a plus
  • If you are a Business Architect and have the knowledge, passion for Business Architecture it would be a plus but not required. Our Strategic Analysis Group also provides Business Architecture thought leadership and services within the company.

Pay Range: $132,900-$166,100 annually

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.  Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
