The Strategic Account Manager at Husqvarna Construction manages and generates profitable sales within the largest direct accounts in the Concrete Surfaces and Floors business channel. In this role you will create and execute a strategic sales plan with the accounts that aligns to the corporate objectives and field level activity. You will align all internal resources and action plans to successfully implement the sales plan. Your success is critical for ensuring our competitive advantage by driving national sales growth through the Concrete Surfaces and Floors business unit.
RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will reside in the Western U.S. (preferably TX, CA, or AZ).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managing Strategic Account Growth Planning (60%)
- Create and execute a comprehensive annual strategic sales plan calling on the Top 50 largest Surfaces and Floors contractors
- Build and maintain market share and competitive positioning analyses
- Manage relationships with key decision makers and influencers within designated accounts
- Negotiate pricing with each customer and align with Distribution and other Contractor Direct customers
- Attend Regional and National trade shows
- Expand Husqvarna’s product offering within designated accounts
- Identify and support needs of regional specific goals and direction
- Create go to market strategy behind new products
Strategic Account Internal Execution (20%)
- Reach or exceed budget
- Maintain understanding of overall customer plans and opportunities
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with the strategic accounts
- Conduct regional business reviews as appropriate, internally/externally
- Work alongside the CD Applications team to organize demonstrations and training
- Utilize and communicate with the Architectural Specifier, to ensure that the organization is up to date with current trends and market needs
- Complete weekly expense report
- Monitor monthly expenses compared to budgets
- Maintain individual CRM
Cross-Functional Management (20%)
- Collaborate with Marketing to create promotions at a minimum of 6 months in advance
- Create, communicate, and manage commercialization plans within regions
- Recommend the addition, deletion, or improvement of products and services
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in sales required
Skills
- Knowledge of and effective use of Customer Focused Selling Skills (CFS) and Call Reporting Management System (CRM)
- Solid product and market knowledge
- Effective presentation and communications skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Travel 60-75%, most often (70%) by air. Some driving travel required, as well as overnight.
- Work entirely on the road or from home office
- Heavy PC use
- Daily, weekly, monthly and annual deadlines
