Own and expand strategic technology and software accounts across regions. Build executive and cross-functional relationships, identify and close multi-year platform and software opportunities, create account plans, manage forecasts and pipelines in Salesforce, and sell localization technology outcomes. The role requires deep localization industry knowledge, quota-carrying enterprise sales experience, and familiarity with language technology platforms and AI-driven translation workflows.

About the role

Some of the world's largest technology and software companies trust us to make their content work in every market. As a Strategic Account Manager, you'll own a named book of these existing customers, deepen the relationships, and grow the business as our platform offerings come to market. This is a senior, quota-carrying role with full commercial responsibility and high visibility in a small, focused team, for someone who sells outcomes, not word counts. You'll report to our Chief Commercial Officer, partner with our global account team across regions, spend regular time on-site at customer campuses, and bring in colleagues from Delivery, Product, and Solutions when a deal needs them. You'll do well here if you're proactive, consultative, able to work independently, and energized by a company that's changing how it sells.

What you'll do

  • Own a named book of strategic tech and software customers across your region.
  • Build multi-threaded relationships across product, engineering, marketing, localization, and procurement.
  • Identify, qualify, and close expansion opportunities across new business units, product lines, and geographies, without waiting for the renewal cycle.
  • Bring our platform offerings into your accounts as they come to market, alongside our existing services.
  • Sell the outcome by helping customers measure whether their content worked, not just whether it was delivered.
  • Build account plans that move us from vendor to strategic partner, and carry them out.
  • Forecast accurately and manage your pipeline with discipline in Salesforce.

What you'll bring

  • typically 7+ years of progressive experience in enterprise sales or account management in the localization or language services industry, or equivalent experience
  • strong knowledge of localization buyers, the competitive landscape, and industry vocabulary (this domain knowledge and a commercial track record matter more to us than CS or engineering credentials)
  • current or recent experience selling and carrying quota on language technology software, SaaS, or AI-driven translation, beyond services statements of work (SOWs)
  • a track record of closing multi-year software or platform contracts of $100,000+ in annual contract value (ACV)
  • experience owning the full commercial motion, from pipeline and outreach methodology to CRM discipline and forecasting, beyond closing deals in a protected book
  • working knowledge of TMS and language technology platforms such as Phrase, Lokalise, Smartling, XTM, and memoQ, and how AI-driven translation workflows are changing what buyers expect

Nice to have

  • hands-on experience of a services-to-platform or services-to-SaaS transition at a previous employer, including the change management that comes with it
  • a P&L, go-to-market, or sales leadership background, ideally building a commercial motion rather than inheriting one
  • experience structuring multi-year enterprise deals, such as subscription, bundled, or outcome-based commercial models
  • experience sourcing or implementing CRM, sales enablement, or lead generation tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, or SalesLoft

If you have some of these, great. If you don't, we'd still like to hear from you.

Who we are

At Acclaro, we're more than a localization company — we're a content intelligence solutions company, and a global team of language enthusiasts, cultural connectors, and technology innovators. Our mission is to help brands speak the world's languages and resonate deeply across cultures by blending human expertise with cutting-edge technology, delivered through a follow-the-sun model that keeps our teams moving around the clock and around the globe.

With over two decades of experience, we support some of the world's most recognizable brands in expanding their global reach. And we're scaling: we've been making material investments in our own AI-native platform, one that's already reshaping how our business — and the localization industry more broadly — works. Join us on our journey to be the model localization company of the next decade, one that's loved by clients, colleagues, and communities alike.

How we work

Our values shape how we work with customers, colleagues, and partners. Here's what you can expect from us, and what we'll look for in you.

  • Be Resilient. When things get hard, we stay calm, adapt, and ask for help when we need it.
  • Be Curious. We ask why, keep learning, share what we know, and explore new ways of working, including AI.
  • Be Kind. We assume good intent, give honest feedback with care, and look out for each other.

Inclusion and equal opportunity

Acclaro is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. All employment decisions are made based on qualifications, merit, and business needs.

We assess every candidate against the same criteria. If you need a reasonable accommodation to take part in any stage of our hiring process, let your recruiter know. We'll work with you to find a solution and keep what you share confidential.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
