About Private Health Management

Private Health Management (PHM) is a clinically sophisticated healthcare navigation company that helps people facing serious and complex medical conditions get the best possible care. We guide individuals and families to leading specialists, advanced diagnostics, and personalized treatment strategies, grounded in independent, science-backed insights.

Trusted by employers, benefits leaders, and healthcare partners, PHM addresses one of the most urgent and costly challenges in healthcare today: the disproportionate impact of cancer and other serious and complex diseases on employees, families, and employer-sponsored health plans. With nearly two decades of proven service delivery and strong market validation, PHM is growing rapidly and redefining what’s possible in high-acuity care navigation.

About the Role

As a Strategic Account Manager, you will serve as a senior, consultative partner to PHM’s employer clients — helping them better understand, measure, and address the impact of cancer and other serious health conditions on their workforce and business.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, analytics, client advisory, and growth. You will help clients assess the effectiveness of their current health and benefits programs, analyze utilization and outcomes, and understand how PHM’s services fit into — and elevate — their broader benefits ecosystem. Through insight-driven guidance and strong cross-functional collaboration, you will help clients adopt and expand PHM programs that improve clinical outcomes, enhance the employee experience, and manage cost.

You will work closely with PHM’s Sales, Clinical, and Marketing teams to ensure clients realize the full value of PHM’s offerings, while also identifying opportunities to deepen relationships and expand engagement over time.

What You’ll Accomplish

  • Serve as the primary strategic partner and trusted advisor to assigned employer clients

  • Deliver ongoing, insight-rich reporting that clearly demonstrates the clinical, financial, and experiential value of PHM services for each client’s population

  • Partner closely with Sales and Clinical teams to drive strong client engagement, long-term retention, and account growth

  • Build deep relationships with existing client stakeholders while expanding relationships across HR, benefits, finance, and executive leadership

  • Drive member engagement by developing strategic activation approaches and identifying opportunities for integration within each client’s broader benefits ecosystem

  • Materially grow Health Solutions revenue by:

    • Serving as a PHM subject-matter expert in new client pursuits and expansions

    • Identifying and executing opportunities to expand PHM services within existing accounts

How You’ll Spend Your Days

  • Advising employers on the strategic and operational implications of serious and complex health conditions within their workforce

  • Translating data, utilization trends, and outcomes into clear, actionable insights for senior client stakeholders

  • Leading client conversations that align PHM’s capabilities to evolving business and benefits priorities

  • Coordinating across internal teams to deliver a seamless, high-impact client experience

  • Proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and growth paths within assigned accounts

What You Bring to the Table

  • 5+ years of experience managing and growing complex client relationships, ideally within healthcare, employee benefits, or health plan environments

  • Demonstrated success establishing yourself as a trusted advisor to clients at multiple levels of an organization, including senior and executive stakeholders

  • Strong understanding of employer-sponsored health plans and benefits strategy

  • Exceptional executive presence, collaboration skills, and written and verbal communication abilities

  • High level of comfort working with data, analytics, and technology-enabled solutions

  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly to support client relationships

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
