Position Summary (Why This Role Exists)

The Steward plays an essential role in supporting kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout the culinary spaces. This position helps ensure that chefs and service teams have the tools, equipment, and support needed to deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Core Responsibilities (What You’ll Do)

  • Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment in accordance with health and safety standards 
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish areas, kitchen floors, storage spaces, and waste disposal areas 
  • Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently 
  • Assist with trash removal, recycling, and composting procedures 
  • Restock clean dishes and kitchen supplies to designated areas 
  • Support kitchen team members with basic cleaning and organizational tasks during service and closing duties 
  • Follow all sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety guidelines 
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance in accordance with company standards 
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects and kitchen maintenance as assigned 
  • Work collaboratively with culinary and stewarding teams to maintain efficient operations 

Qualifications (What You Bring)

  • Previous dishwashing, stewarding, or kitchen experience preferred but not required 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment 
  • Strong work ethic and reliability 
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds 
  • Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment 
  • Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays 
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support the team wherever needed 

Preferred Qualities

  • Experience in luxury hotel or restaurant environments 
  • Knowledge of basic sanitation and food safety standards 
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail 

Physical Requirements

  • Standing and walking for extended periods 
  • Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and carrying items up to 50 pounds 
  • Ability to work in hot, wet, and fast-paced kitchen environments
