Job Description

The goal of the Brand Intern experience is to receive first-hand exposure and experience of the full Brand Marketing ecosystem at STARZ. This internship is designed as an apprenticeship-style program, giving the intern an opportunity to learn how Brand functions holistically across strategy, execution, and the full consumer journey.
Over the course of the 10-week internship, the intern will rotate areas of focus across the Brand team and develop an understanding of how each function contributes to building and sustaining the STARZ brand:
● Brand strategy & marketing campaign development
● Direct-to-consumer streaming app experience
● Growth Marketing: subscriber acquisition, CRM, retention
● Distribution Marketing partnerships
The program is intentionally structured to provide hands-on learning, cross functional visibility, and an opportunity to explore different roles, job functions, and career paths within the Brand Marketing ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Deep-dive into the Brand Marketing ecosystem, including brand strategy, campaign
  • Development, direct- to-consumer app experience, and Growth Marketing (acquisition & retention)
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings, reviews, and working sessions to understand how brand decisions are developed, executed, and measured
  • Partner with Brand, Growth, App, CRM, Research, and Distribution teams to learn how brand strategy shows up across consumer touchpoints.
  • Observe and document workflows, roles, and responsibilities across teams to better understand various marketing functions and career paths.
  • Use functional scorecards to evaluate the STARZ brand experience from a consumer-first perspective, assessing clarity, consistency, effectiveness, and identifying key insights and opportunities across the brand ecosystem
  • Analyze emerging cultural trends, fandoms, and evolving entertainment consumption habits among Gen Z, translating insights into opportunities for STARZ.
  • Synthesize insights and present a Brand Experience Scorecard at the end of the internship, highlighting strengths, gaps, and high level opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree (Major or Minor) in Marketing, Media, Business, Technology, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field with a strong interest in Brand Marketing, Entertainment, and the consumer experience.
  • Demonstrated curiosity about how brands operate from end-to-end and across the consumer journey
  • Ability to observe, evaluate and synthesize complex information, both qualitative and quantitative
  • Organized and self– motivated, with the ability to manage learning across multiple workstreams in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, and comfortable sharing perspectives and asking thought-provoking questions
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in Microsoft Office Suite including: Word, PowerPoint, Exxcel, Google Office including: Google Docs, Sheets and Slides.
  • Optional: Interest in exploring different marketing roles and career paths within a Brand ecosystem.

Compensation Data
The pay rate for this internship is $20/hr.

Important Dates
The STARZ Summer 2026 Internship program dates are: June 15, 2026 – August 21, 2026

All interns are required to attend orientation on Monday, June 15, 2026.

Details

  • Regular business hours are 9 AM – 6 PM Monday-Thursday and Friday 9 AM – 1 PM
  • Interns must not work more than 36 hours per week
  • Interns must be enrolled in a college or university and classified as rising juniors or seniors
  • Interns must be available to work for the entire length of the program
  • All internships are paid
