As a Staff UX Researcher in our Consumer Product org focusing on the international experience, you’ll investigate user behavior and needs using qualitative and quantitative methods (including semi-structured interviews, focus groups, surveys, and behavioral analysis) to design and conduct foundational and evaluative research to guide executive decision-making. The ideal candidate will leverage their research skills to drive product strategy and improve the user experience for new and future users of Reddit around the world.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute high-quality, high-impact mixed-methods (qualitative and quantitative) research studies, focusing primarily on foundational and generative work.
- Drive communication and collaboration with cross-functional partners, including engineering, data science, design, product/program management, etc.
- Drive product strategy across product pillars via actionable insights and strong partnership with Product, Design, Engineering and other cross-functional team members.
- Develop research programs that achieve business and product impact.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience conducting research.
- Demonstrated experience conducting international research both in-person and remotely.
- Demonstrated expertise in either qualitative or quantitative research methods (or both), including when and how to apply them during each product development phase.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
- Experience leading strategy within cross-functional teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
- Can prioritize time between multiple projects, and be flexible, adapting to changing priorities.
Nice to Have:
Masters or Ph.D. in Statistics, Behavioral Science, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, related fields, or equivalent experience.
