The Internal Tools team is a new, high-impact group within Corporate Technology responsible for architecting and building custom solutions. We bridge the gap between our core platforms and operational reality. This team focuses on "quality of life" improvements, security-first data access, and workflow automation. You will work closely with stakeholders in Customer Support, Operations, and Engineering to replace manual processes with efficient, purpose-built interfaces.
This is a remote position with a requirement for candidates to reside in the United States to maintain effective collaboration across teams.
What You’ll Do:
Build Custom Tooling: Design and develop internal web applications that allow internal teams to access specific data sets and perform actions without requiring direct, elevated access to sensitive third party, and internal systems.
System Integration: Partner with the Data & Integrations team to architect and build connections between key business platforms, such as Snowflake, Zendesk, and Slack, to automate workflows and visualize trends for non-technical users.
Enhance Security: Champion a "least privilege" approach by building UIs that transform sensitive data into actionable insights, reducing the need for raw data access.
Drive Operational Efficiency: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Customer Support, to identify manual pain points in their intake workflows and build custom tooling to close process gaps.
Operational Excellence: Participate in sprint planning and prioritization, ensuring high operational efficiency and team health while managing a backlog of feature requests.
Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for architecture, configurations, and runbooks.
About You:
8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with a focus on building internal tools or B2B applications.
Technical versatility with the ability to operate across the stack. You can spin up a simple, intuitive frontend and build the backend logic to support it.
Experience querying and integrating with data warehouses, specifically Snowflake, and building APIs to fetch and transform that data.
Strong systems thinking skills with the ability to take a high-level goal, like reducing manual ticket escalation, and breaking it down into technical tasks and sprints.
Experience with ServiceNow, Zendesk, or Jira APIs is highly desirable.
Understanding of role-based access control (RBAC) and design principles that protect sensitive data.
Experience operating in an agile sprint cycle environment.
