We are looking for an inventive, passionate Staff Software Engineer who embraces challenges, and thrives when given autonomy to figure out solutions. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining our web applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, user-friendly mobile experiences. Your expertise will drive the technical direction of our projects, ensuring robust and scalable solutions. Please note, this is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the option to convert to full-time after 3–6 months.
- Drive the overall technical design of our applications.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and share best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software development.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and workflows.
- Learn from and help shape our company's engineering culture.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering
- Proficiency in Go, Python or Java
- Experience in working with dev members from other product/service teams and drive deliveries that span across multiple dev teams
- Experience in building performant, scalable and secure backend systems that accept traffic through RESTful or GraphQL APIs
- Passion about building delightful and high-quality customer experience for our end users.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with modern development tools and frameworks
- Broad experience in overall system design and implementation
- Contribution to open-source projects or a strong personal portfolio
- Deep understanding of software architecture
- Ability to drive the design and implementation of major components of our applications, systems, and features, working across our entire engineering, product and design organization, where necessary to solve problems.
