What We Do:

Founded in 2015 as a fully remote company by former NSA cyber operators, Huntress was built on a simple premise: to force hackers to earn every inch of their access.

Today’s cyber-attacks aren’t limited to large organizations with the security tools that can ward off threats. Hackers don't discriminate and will find a way to penetrate any vulnerability in any size business, which is why Huntress focuses on protecting those small to midsize businesses that make up the backbone of our economy.

Huntress stops hidden threats that sneak past preventive security tools by utilizing our award-winning security platform and expert human threat hunters through dynamic products including Managed EDR, MDR for Microsoft 365, and Managed Security Awareness Training.

Join the hunt and help us stop hackers in their tracks!

What You’ll Do:

We are building the next-gen Huntress Managed Security Platform. As part of this net-new initiative, we need a highly experienced product management leader to lay out our Ecosystem strategy, build out our integrations, APIs and own our Core Platform - the building blocks for all of our new and existing products, along with leading our platform UX.

As the Staff Product Manager, Core Platform and Ecosystem at Huntress, you will be a “player-coach” responsible for setting the roadmap and direction of all the initiatives and projects of this team, ultimately leading and driving the success and expansion of all our products. You will own the strategy, goals, and (in partnership with other functions) execution of a SaaS platform offering (like other Huntress products) that keeps mid-market customers safe and secure online with cutting-edge capabilities currently only found in the largest enterprises. You will work closely with the company founders, engineering leaders, support, sales and marketing teams, and other product managers.

To be successful in this position, you must have worked with and built backend services and platforms, with other product teams as your primary stakeholders and customers. You must have a proven track record of working closely with engineering teams and being able to articulate business goals clearly in technical terms.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership for the highly experienced, fast-moving product platform team that drives our foundations and platform
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and leadership to product management staff and contribute to organizational improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrate an ability to decipher and articulate potentially ambiguous client needs and mold them into successful, innovative solutions that surprise and delight the customer
  • Work with designers, engineers, and architects to create detailed business requirements, epics, and user stories that will be used to shape product specifications and architecture
  • Prioritize features by assessing their alignment with the broader product strategy and initiatives as well as unmet market needs
  • Participate as a key contributor in all phases of product development, from discovery to launch
  • Serve as the intermediary between engineering and senior management and other non-technical stakeholders with the ability to break down and translate highly technical information into layman's terms and vice versa
  • Work with design teams and engineering to produce mockups, wireframes, and eventual prototypes to assess the validity and strength of a new product or feature idea
  • Manage and drive results from user experience testing and gain crucial insights into how customers use (or don’t use) the platform

What You Bring To The Team:

  • 7+ years of experience in a product management role with past responsibility for cybersecurity products
  • Previous PM experience managing a B2B product, cybersecurity preferred
  • Must have built a SaaS platform in the past
  • Experience leading product innovation, feature ideation, delivery, and launch
  • Leverage excellent written and verbal communication skills to create epics and stories for engineering that align engineers with intended outcomes
  • Experience with products delivered from AWS or other cloud environments
  • Prior experience as a software developer

What We Offer:

  • 100% remote work environment - since our founding in 2015
  • Generous paid time off policy, including vacation, sick time, and paid holidays
  • 12 weeks of paid parental leave
  • Highly competitive and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits plans
  • 401(k) with a 5% contribution regardless of employee contribution
  • Life and Disability insurance plans
  • Stock options for all full-time employees
  • One-time $500 reimbursement for building/upgrading home office
  • Annual allowance for education and professional development assistance
  • $75 USD/month digital reimbursement
  • Access to the BetterUp platform for coaching, personal, and professional growth

Huntress is committed to creating a culture of inclusivity where every single member of our team is valued, has a voice, and is empowered to come to work every day just as they are.

We do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, veteran status, genetic information, marital status, or any other legally protected status.

We do discriminate against hackers who try to exploit small businesses.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
