👋 About Owner.com

Owner is the all-in-one platform that restaurants use to succeed online.

Thousands of restaurant owners use our tools to build their website, drive online orders, create their own branded app, manage their customer relationships, and set up marketing automations.

You can think of it as Shopify meets HubSpot, but specifically for restaurants.

Learn more about the problems we are solving for our customers here.

🌎 Our vision

We’re starting by helping independent restaurants succeed online.

But it’s not just restaurants that need our help. Most local businesses are struggling with these same problems. Huge technology corporations are taking their customers, bleeding their profits, and making it hard for them to survive.

Once we nail the solution for restaurants – we’ll scale it into every other local business type.

In the future we envision, tens of millions of local business owners will use our technology to succeed in the digital age.

🚀 Our traction

In just over 3 years we've generated tens of millions in revenue, served millions of guests, and processed hundreds of millions of online orders.

More importantly, we’ve helped thousands of restaurant owners save their businesses - and not  only survive, but thrive.

⭐ Our team

Our team grew from under 100 to nearly 200 talented people in 2024. We’ve got top talent from the most successful companies in SMB software, including: Shopify, HubSpot, DoorDash, ServiceTitan, Rappi, Faire and Stripe.

We’ll be scaling even faster in 2025 to keep pace with our customer growth.

🌆 Where we work

Owner is a remote-first, global company headquartered in San Francisco, with a sales hub in Toronto. For a few of our roles we prioritize in-person collaboration at one of our office locations. Most of our employees are distributed throughout the globe. Please review the role description and discuss with your recruiter for more details on location.

🔍 Why we’re looking for you

At Owner.com, we're not just building tools for restaurant owners - we are building the proven, AI-native, self-driving system for restaurant success. While our mission is to help restaurant Owners, the path there mean building world class consumer experiences. The restaurant guest experience needs to compete with hugely popular 3rd party marketplaces and big national chains. Your local restaurant should have digital experiences as delightful to use as Airbnb, Robinhood or Waymo.

We’re looking for a guest-facing product manager obsessed with quality, design and craft. You’ll work closely with exceptional engineering and design teams to craft software that is as intuitive, delightful, and trusted as the best consumer apps in the world. Your north star is delivering effortless, elegant guest experiences that help all of our restaurants drive revenue.

Owner’s guest-facing product is huge: websites, online menu, cart and checkout, offers, lifecycle marketing, mobile app, loyalty and more. With you, we can keep expanding our ambition: group orders, order tracking, kiosk, phone ordering. Your job is to make these experiences beautiful, intuitive, and indispensable.

Owner is a remote-first company, but we are prioritizing San Francisco Bay Area-based folks for this role. We have a lovely office in the Presidio and cater lunch from our local customers twice a week!

💥 The impact you will have

  • Obsess over every pixel of the guest experience
  • Partner deeply with Design and Engineering to build polished, intuitive interfaces
  • Create customer-driven roadmaps grounded in detailed customer journeys and emotional touch-points
  • Elevate usability, accessibility, and product delight across every interaction
  • Deeply understand our customer personas and tailor experiences to their needs
  • Help Owner.com become the most loved brand in restaurant software

✅ Minimum requirements

  • A passion for helping small business owners thrive - and a belief that great software experiences can be life-changing
  • 8+ years of experience in product management
  • Experience shipping world class consumer software
  • Proven ability to prioritize roadmaps with cross-functional input, balancing product craft, business needs, and technical constraints
  • Strong partnership experience with design and engineering teams, delivering polished and high-quality product releases
  • An incredibly high bar for usability, polish, and intuitive design
  • Comfort using quantitative and qualitative data to make decisions, paired with a strong product intuition
  • Excellent written communication - ability to create clear specs and artifacts that inspire and align teams

🏆 Pay and benefits

  • The estimated starting base salary range for this role is $220K-260K depending on experience and final leveling decision, plus a generous pre-IPO equity package.
  • Other benefits include comprehensive health coverage, remote-first workplace, unlimited PTO and other great perks!

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
