We are seeking an experienced and strategic Staff Product Manager (AI) to lead the vision and execution of AI and ML capabilities across Datadog’s observability and security products. In this highly cross-functional role, you will drive product innovation at the intersection of AI and cloud infrastructure, helping engineering and operations teams understand, troubleshoot, and secure their systems with unprecedented speed and intelligence.

Responsibilities
  • Define and drive the roadmap for AI-first capabilities across Datadog's platform, with a focus on actionable insights, anomaly detection, intelligent alerting, and conversational interfaces.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives, working closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to deliver impactful AI-powered experiences.

  • Translate customer needs into innovative product features by leveraging ML models, LLMs, and heuristic intelligence techniques.

  • Own the product lifecycle from ideation to launch and iteration, ensuring high-quality execution and adoption.

  • Serve as a thought leader in AI/ML strategy at Datadog, influencing both product direction and broader company strategy.
    Work closely with GTM teams to ensure AI features are clearly messaged, positioned, and well understood by customers.

  • Monitor and analyze product performance metrics and iterate on AI features based on user feedback and data insights.

Requirements
  • 7+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML products or features.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale intelligent features in complex, data-rich products.

  • Deep technical fluency in machine learning, generative AI, or large language models—able to work closely with engineers and data scientists.

  • Strong customer empathy with the ability to translate customer needs into elegant product solutions.

  • Experience with observability, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or security products is a strong plus.

  • Experience with enterprise SaaS platforms or developer tools.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Bonus Qualifications
  • Hands-on background in data science, ML engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  • Familiarity with AI/LLM infrastructure (e.g., fine-tuning, vector search, retrieval augmentation).

Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
