YOUR MISSION

We are looking for a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to lead the manufacturing of cutting-edge spaceflight hardware. You will play a critical role in bridging engineering and operations. Translating complex designs into efficient, repeatable, and reliable manufacturing processes. This is a hands-on-role requiring deep understanding of various manufacturing best practices, ownership of production and commitment to delivering mission critical hardware on critical timelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the full Lifecyle of the hardware manufacturing processes from concept, through quality and final delivery.
  • Define and implement manufacturing plans for complex systems including electrical and propulsion system integration.
  • Lead DFM (Design for manufacturing) reviews with True Anomaly stakeholders by influencing design decisions for producibility and cost-efficiency.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for new manufacturing projects.
  • Partner with supply chain, integration and test teams to ensure readiness for successful delivery of components.
  • Partner with True Anomaly stakeholders to drive execution across departments.
  • Mentor and guide junior manufacturing engineers and technicians in best practices and process disciplines.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing or Industrial engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years in a manufacturing or related role, preferably in aerospace or defense.
  • Deep knowledge of manufacturing, additive manufacturing, and test procedures.
  • Experience with MRP systems and CAD.
  • Strong process documentation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement mindset.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Background in space systems, defense or UAV programs.
  • Familiarity with AS9100, IS09001 and other aerospace standards.
  • Experience standing up new manufacturing processes.
  • Active security clearance (or ability to obtain).

COMPENSATION

  • Base Salary: $130,000-$175,000
  • Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave 

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience. 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to maintain or obtain TS//SCI clearance.
  • Work Location: this role will be fully onsite at our factory in Long Beach, CA.
  • Work environment is in a standard office, working at a desk or in a production factory.
  • Physical demands may include frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting or carrying items up to 20lbs.
