- Develop and implement machine visions systems for automation systems, quality inspection, defect detection, and process monitoring
- Specify, procure, validate, and sustain vision system components such as cameras, lenses, lighting, controllers, and software
- Oversee the installation, validation, and commissioning of vision systems in production environments across multiple product lines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate high-precision inspection systems into production lines and automation systems
- Lead efforts into RCCA on vision systems and process failures
- Train production staff on the operation and maintenance of vision systems
- Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar
- 7+ years of experience in developing and maintaining vision systems in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience developing vision system platforms (e.g., Cognex, Keyence, Gocator, iRVision, Halcon) and programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, OpenCV)
- Strong understanding of image processing algorithms, optics, and lighting principles
- Hands-on experience with industrial automation systems (e.g., PLCs, robotics)
- Familiarity with advanced defect detection techniques, AI-based vision systems, and SPC methodologies
- Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
