LastPass is looking for a Staff Graphic Designer:

In this role, you will serve as the visual guardian of the LastPass brand by leading the development and execution of visual design concepts that support marketing, branding, and communications initiatives - leveraging advanced design expertise, strong project ownership, and a commitment to consistency and excellence across the brand

About the team:

You'll be joining a small but agile creative team - including a Creative Director and a Copywriter - embedded within the corporate marketing organization at LastPass. Together, we handle a wide range of creative needs, from marketing collateral and digital advertising to lifecycle emails and large-scale corporate event experiences.

If you are passionate about complex problem solving and motivated by scale, then this is the role for you!

Who will you work with?

You'll work closely with the Creative Director and Copywriter as part of the core creative team, while partnering cross-functionally with teams across Product Marketing, Demand Generation, and Content. Depending on the project, you'll engage directly with broader marketing stakeholders to align creative solutions with business goals, campaign priorities, and brand consistency.

What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?

  • Own, maintain, and evolve comprehensive brand guidelines, building scalable toolkits and systems to ensure consistency across all brand touchpoints
  • Design and oversee the development of creative assets across teams, including performance marketing ads, lifecycle campaigns, event materials, and product marketing documents
  • Transform complex ideas, documents, and presentations into compelling infographics, executive decks, and visual narratives
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Content, and other stakeholders to deliver creative solutions that support business goals
  • Lead projects from brief to delivery — managing timelines, asking the right questions, and executing with minimal oversight while maintaining alignment and quality
  • Continuously explore and adopt new tools, workflows, and AI-powered solutions to improve efficiency and elevate creative output

What does it take to work at LastPass?

  • Background in Graphic Design, Art Direction, or a related field
  • Proven experience in professional graphic design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating ownership of end-to-end brand systems
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Ability to clearly articulate design decisions and rationale to non-design stakeholders
  • Strong project ownership skills, with the ability to manage timelines and deliver work independently

It's great, but not required:

  • Interest in cybersecurity or comfort designing for technical subject matter
  • Proven experience in SaaS or B2B/B2C environments
  • Familiarity with motion design or video

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
