Job Summary

We are seeking a Staff Power Electronics Engineer to contribute to the design, validation, and optimization of power delivery systems across the grid-to-chip power chain for advanced AI computing platforms. You will work across cross-functional teams to ensure high-performance, reliable, and scalable power infrastructure, supporting both development and production environments.

The Team

The Power Engineering team works across hardware, firmware, and data center operations to develop and validate power delivery systems that support Graphcore’s high-performance AI platforms. The team ensures robustness, efficiency, and scalability of power infrastructure.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Contribute to design and specification of grid-to-chip power delivery systems.
  • Develop and execute test and validation plans for power systems and components.
  • Design and build test environments, fixtures, and simulation setups for various load conditions.
  • Prototype and develop custom power conversion components as needed.
  • Support transition from validation to manufacturing and production.
  • Ensure compatibility of IT power systems with grid requirements and disturbances.
  • Collaborate with ODMs and vendors to define validation procedures.
  • Debug and resolve complex power hardware and firmware issues.
Candidate Profile

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Strong experience in power electronics and power delivery system design.
  • Experience testing high-voltage and high-power systems.
  • Proficiency in hardware and firmware debugging.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.

Desirable:

  • Experience with AI or data center power infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies in high-performance computing environments.
