StubHub is on a mission to redefine the live event experience on a global scale. Whether someone is looking to attend their first event or their hundredth, we’re here to delight them all the way from the moment they start looking for a ticket until they step through the gate. The same goes for our sellers. From fans selling a single ticket to the promoters of a worldwide stadium tour, we want StubHub to be the safest, most convenient way to offer a ticket to the millions of fans who browse our platform around the world.

About the Opportunity:

The Consumer Experience (CX) org at StubHub is responsible for the end-to-end product experience for fans looking to discover, buy, and sell tickets to their favorite live events through our web and mobile platforms. We're in search of a content design leader who can approach design through the lens of language – ensuring clarity, consistency, and user empathy throughout our product, fostering strong connections with our fans worldwide.

As the Staff Content Designer for Consumer Experience, you’ll lead the transformation of StubHub’s proactive communication across email, push notifications, and in-product messaging. You’ll collaborate closely with product, engineering, and design partners to identify key opportunities, shape campaign narratives, and deliver clear, compelling content that connects with fans and drives business impact. This is a hands-on role for a strategic builder who thrives at multiple altitudes—sparking a bold new approach to fan engagement one moment and finessing the details of an on-sale campaign the next.

If you're passionate about creating world-class user experiences for the exciting world of events, we would love to hear from you.

This is a hybrid work opportunity located in New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA. We have a 3-day in-office and 2-day remote schedule.

What You'll Do

  • Lead with insight—connect market trends, audience behavior, and business objectives to shape strategic opportunities that elevate our content’s impact and guide the team’s direction.
  • Partner closely with product, design, and engineering leads to translate strategy into action––defining target audiences and success metrics, and iterating on campaign approaches to drive reach and engagement.
  • Craft compelling copy across email, push, and in-product touchpoints—balancing quality with speed. Continuously optimize through testing and iteration.
  • Establish broader content standards, such as tone & voice, style guides, and design systems, to improve content quality at scale.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across the company such as communications, business development, paid marketing, and legal to ensure a cohesive narrative and messaging strategy.
  • Coach and guide other designers to grow their skills and elevate their work.
  • Stay up to date with industry and cultural trends to ensure content design resonates with fans.

What You've Done

  • 10+ years of experience in content design, UX writing, or content strategy—ideally within a product development environment.
  • A portfolio demonstrating breadth and proven writing experience in consumer-facing marketing campaigns and product experiences.
  • A proven track record of launching product experiences that drive business results. You influence beyond copy—shaping prioritization, defining goals, and using experimentation to learn and iterate.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, iterative product development process.
  • Experience in leveraging AI to scale high-quality content is highly desirable.

Mindset that excels at StubHub

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
