Wealthfront is looking for a Staff Content Designer to help chart the future of our investing products. Wealthfront pioneered automated investing by offering broad access to sophisticated investing strategies at a fraction of the cost of traditional financial advisers. Since then, we’ve continued to expand the ways we help our clients build long-term wealth through saving and investing. Your role will be to work alongside your cross-functional peers to develop the vision, strategy, and language to simplify investing.
Success in this role will require excellent communication skills, cross-functional leadership, strategic thinking, a high bar for craft, and executional excellence. We’re looking for a content designer who is equally excited to tackle large ambiguous problems as they are to get in the weeds helping us build an excellent product experience. Knowing how to think outside of industry norms and rectify what’s not working in the wild is a must. You internalize the mechanics of investing, and translate that complexity to simple, human instruction. A passion for and experience in building consumer financial technology products is highly desirable.
You genuinely care for our mission to “build a financial system that favors people, not institutions” and be a zealous advocate for client needs. This genuine passion motivates you to proactively identify areas that require greater attention, bring solutions to address them and mobilize more people to prioritize the improvements. As an intentionally lean company, each team member is required to exhibit proactivity, autonomy, and a perspective on strategic decisions.
Design at WealthfrontDesigners at Wealthfront transform complex financial technology into simple and delightful experiences. Our commitment to our clients and high bar for craft set us apart from traditional financial institutions, fostering trust with our clients and empowering them to build lasting wealth on their own terms.
We pride ourselves on our meticulous attention to detail, consistently striving for excellence in all areas of our craft. We place just as much emphasis on the words we use to communicate with our clients as we do the interactive elements of our experiences. This shows up in our team structures–we have nearly a 1:1 ratio of content designers to product designers. We understand how design plays an important role in the success of our business and we are active participants in various leadership forums.
Collaboration is at the core of our approach. We work closely with our counterparts in engineering, product management, research, data science, legal, and compliance to define opportunities and explore solutions. eWe are equal partners in making strategic decisions and defining impactful roadmaps. We embrace a culture of continuous learning, prioritizing the magnitude of our successes over the percentage of times we are successful.
Most importantly, we love what we do! We are passionate about our mission, the financial technology space, and our clients. We take pride in our culture with a high bar, and a low ego.
We’re a remote friendly team and open to candidates in the US.
