You'll work in a modern cloud analytics environment built around Snowflake, dbt, and Sigma while contributing to an AI-first engineering culture that values automation, quality, and continuous improvement.

  • Dashboards and reporting products supporting business-critical decisions

  • Self-service analytics experiences that improve data accessibility

What Makes This Role Exciting

  • Build analytics products that directly influence business growth and decision-making

  • Work across Product, Marketing, Finance, Publisher Operations, Consumer Insights, and Performance Marketing

  • Build modern analytics solutions using Snowflake, dbt, Sigma, and AI-assisted development tools

  • Help improve self-service analytics across the organization

  • Work with large-scale datasets supporting millions of users and high-volume business operations

  • Collaborate closely with Data Engineering and Machine Learning to improve data availability and usability

  • Grow your analytics engineering expertise while helping evolve Prodege's BI platform

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics products that support business decision-making

  • Develop and maintain analytics data models using dbt and Snowflake

  • Build trusted datasets and reusable reporting assets that enable scalable self-service analytics

  • Partner with Product, Marketing, Finance, Analytics, and business stakeholders to translate reporting needs into scalable BI solutions

  • Implement KPI definitions and reporting standards established across the organization

  • Optimize SQL queries, analytics models, and reporting performance

  • Validate data quality through testing, monitoring, and documentation

  • Support executive reporting and operational dashboards

  • Collaborate with Data Engineering to improve data pipelines and data availability

  • Troubleshoot reporting issues and continuously improve platform reliability

  • Contribute to analytics engineering best practices including testing, documentation, version control, and code reviews

  • Use AI-assisted development tools to improve SQL development, documentation, reporting workflows, and analytics productivity

  • Mentor junior BI engineers and analytics engineers while sharing technical knowledge across the team

The MUST Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, a quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience

  • Four or more (4+) years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field

  • Strong SQL skills with experience writing and optimizing complex analytical queries

  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake or another modern cloud data warehouse

  • Experience using dbt or similar analytics engineering frameworks

  • Experience building dashboards and reports using Sigma, Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or comparable BI platforms

  • Experience in AdTech, Performance Marketing, MarTech, marketplaces, or consumer internet businesses

  • Strong understanding of dimensional modeling and analytics engineering best practices

  • Experience developing reusable datasets and scalable reporting solutions

  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve SQL development, documentation, or reporting workflows

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

The Nice to Haves

  • Experience supporting experimentation platforms, A/B testing, or product analytics

  • Familiarity with Iceberg or modern lakehouse technologies

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
