Job Duties and Responsibilities
DISH is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Software Developer to join our Retail Wireless Technology department. and working with cutting-edge technology, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. We are seeking experience developing AWS Lambdas and step functions, Amazon EventBridge, CloudWatch, AWS AppConfig, and AWS DocumentDB. You should have a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable API specifications using OpenAPI/YAML with enhanced data security
  • Create and maintain build and deployment pipelines for CI/CD implementation
  • Manage the full API lifecycle, ensuring smooth deployment and integration
  • Collaborate with application teams to gather business requirements for API implementation
  • Ensure up-to-date API documentation, maintain code quality, and apply appropriate logging, monitoring, and security standards
  • Troubleshoot API issues, perform root cause analysis for production problems, and contribute to technical user stories for integration


Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and 6+ years of experience in the development, and implementation of enterprise-wide solutions based on Java Technologies (Java, J2EE, Web Services), or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in the development, and implementation of Amazon Cloud solutions: AWS Lambdas and step functions, Amazon EventBridge, CloudWatch, AWS AppConfig, ASL, and AWS DocumentDB enterprise-wide solutions based on Java Technologies (Java, J2EE, Web Services, Spring, Spring Boot)


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience developing and implementing enterprise solutions using Java technologies (Java, J2EE, Webservices, Spring, Spring Boot)
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Integration, or Node.js microservices
  • Proficient in deploying microservices on Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, version control (GitLab), and test-driven development practices
  • Strong understanding of security protocols (OAuth, SAML) and event-driven, message-based, and caching architectures
  • Skilled in API Gateway & Management tools (e.g., Apigee) and AWS cloud products


Salary Ranges
Compensation: $110,100.00/Year - $157,300.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
