The Opportunity

We are seeking a strong Staff Accountant.  Must be detail oriented, a self-starter, and have excellent organizational skills. Accuracy and attention to detail is a must.  Must be strong in Excel and other Microsoft applications and be able to work well with others in a fast-paced environment, high growth environment.   

Responsibilities

  • Perform general accounting duties including creating and posting journal entries, account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations
  • Manage fixed asset schedules and prepare relevant journal entries (additions, disposals, and depreciation)
  • Conduct regular account analysis and variance analysis to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement
  • Assist with project accounting tasks and procedures to ensure completeness of project financial reporting
  • Create management reports as needed
  • Perform accounting research and identify discrepancies between internal accounts
  • Conduct intracompany and intercompany transactions related to equipment, sales, and service
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

The Required Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or 3 + years of relevant experience required
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and accounting systems. (Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O a plus)
  • SQL and automation tools such as Power Automate highly preferred
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality
  • Ability to communicate with other company associates

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Mental stamina for problem solving and prioritizing multiple tasks.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate the computer keyboard and telephone, reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
