We’re looking for a sharp, detail-obsessed, and cool-under-pressure Staff Accountant to join our team. You’ll be in the thick of it — client invoicing, journal entries, expense management, and more.
We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to provide support to the finance department by managing daily accounting tasks, with an emphasis on billing. You’ll work with our Finance team toward efficient operation of the department and accurate transaction processing to help the business make sound financial decisions.
This is a client-facing role, and involves client invoicing, collections, preparing journal entries, and managing expense reimbursements are a large part of the Staff Accountant’s day-to-day work. Our ideal candidate is well-versed in accounting principles, displays strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and maintains strong working relationships both internally and externally.
In this position, you will:
- Ensure prompt and accurate invoice processing for all clients
- Correspond with clients to collect payments
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Manage internal and external inquiries and resolve issues related to invoices, reimbursements
- Carry out month-end close responsibilities
- Process journal entries
- Assist with Finance and Accounting projects
- Minimum 4 years of relevant Accounting experience, preferably in a professional service/agency setting (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Previous A/R and A/P experience, including Collections and Expense Report experience
- Strong proven proficiency with Quickbooks is a MUST
- Experience managing monthly billing process and collection cycles
- New system integration experience a plus
