Job Summary:

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Accounting, the Staff Accountant role is responsible for assisting in monthly accounting closes; year-end financial audits; recording of daily transaction details, reconciliations; and other operational areas in finance.


Responsibilities:

  • You will post daily cash receipts for over 30 bank accounts.
  • You will monitor and process auto debits, manual wires, sweep transfers transactions for all bank accounts.
  • You will prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts.
  • You will reconcile Paypal, Braintree, and Square accounts, including the entry of merchant fees.
  • You will prepare inter-company journal entries.
  • You will collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve outstanding checks.
  • You will reconcile and balance general ledger accounts; as well as investigate and resolve variances in ledger accounts.
  • You will ensure all fixed assets transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger, observing accounting guidelines and performing reconciliations.
  • You will record prepaid expenses and their corresponding amortization.
  • You will compile and analyze information to prepare journal entries.
  • You will help with the annual audit process by preparing detailed schedules and providing documentation to external auditors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • 2+ years of professional work experience.
  • ERP system experience (Workday).
  • Experience communicating analytical findings for a range of different audiences.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to handle confidential material.
  • A focus on maintaining a high standard of accuracy, following strict timelines.

Physical/Cognitive Requirements:

  • Capability to remain seated in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
  • Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate keyboard, computer and other office-related equipment.

The United States new hire base salary target ranges for this full-time position are:

Zone A: $52,380 - $68,090 + equity + benefits

Zone B: $57,618 - $74,899 + equity + benefits

Zone C: $62,856 - $81,708 + equity + benefits

Zone D: $68,094 - $88,517 + equity + benefits

Starting base salary for you will depend on several job-related factors, unique to each candidate, which may include education; training; skills; years and depth of experience; certifications and licensure; our needs; internal peer equity; organizational considerations; and understanding of geographic and market data. Compensation structures and ranges are tailored to each zone's unique market conditions to ensure that all employees receive fair and great compensation package based on their roles and locations.
