Kincell is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in core accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate is a recent graduate or early-career professional with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a desire to grow within the field. who will be a key contributor to a dynamic and collaborative Finance team.

The Staff Accountant will be a key member of Kincell’s finance team, reporting to the Accounting Sr. Manager. This position will be critical in growing the accounting function and supporting a company audit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices
  • Monitor and resolve invoice discrepancies
  • Assist with preparing weekly payment runs and maintaining vendor files

Accounts Receivable (AR):

  • Generate and send customer invoices
  • Apply incoming payments to customer accounts
  • Monitor aging reports and assist in collections efforts
  • Communicate with customers regarding billing inquiries

Bank & Account Reconciliations:

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes

General Accounting & Support:

  • Assist with journal entries and posting transactions to the general ledger
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and documentation
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing requested documents
  • Participate in process improvements and ad hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job successfully. 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 0-3 years’ experience in accounting roles
  • Proficient Microsoft Dynamics user
  • Advanced desktop application experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Proven ability to work with professional discretion and confidential information
  • Team player and self-starter with the ability to act autonomously
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Able to manage multiple priorities
  • Timely and accurate completion of tasks
  • Strong mathematical abilities including basic and advanced calculations
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred:

  • CPA certification is a plus
  • Ability to work within Eastern Standard hours preferred.
