Wisedocs is on a mission to make it easy and accessible for any company in the insurance, legal and medical space to understand medical documents quickly using AI (Artificial Intelligence). Every week, we process hundreds of thousands of pages of documents, saving our customers hours and hours of manual processing time, and helping them process medical claims much more quickly. 
 
Role Summary 
 We're looking for a versatile Site Reliability / DevOps Engineer who's equally comfortable troubleshooting support issues as they are scaling infrastructure. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a dual focus: delivering reliable cloud-native systems and being the technical backbone of customer support operations.

You'll be at the intersection of engineering and support, helping us:

  • Maintain and support cloud environments
  • Manage and monitor Kubernetes-based services
  • Investigate and resolve support tickets that require technical depth

You'll work closely with our engineering, product, and customer success teams to ensure uptime, performance, and customer satisfaction across the board.

Note: This role supports a U.S. government contract. U.S. citizenship of 3+ years and the ability to obtain a security clearance are required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2/3 technical support: triage, debug, and resolve infrastructure or platform issues raised by internal teams or customers
  • Collaborate with support and product teams to resolve customer-facing incidents efficiently and professionally
  • Help manage and monitor AWS-hosted services and Kubernetes clusters
  • Assist with releases, infrastructure changes, and environment health checks
  • Maintain system observability using monitoring and alerting tools
  • Document recurring issues, resolutions, and technical processes to support a growing support team

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a cloud operations, SRE, or technical support role (startup or SaaS experience preferred)
  • Comfortable working with cloud platforms such as AWS
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and container-based deployments
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for infrastructure and applications
  • Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with browser developer tools
  • Exposure to CI/CD workflows and basic scripting a plus
  • Experience supporting production environments and resolving incidents in a collaborative team
