Alteryx is searching for a Sr. Workday Configuration Analyst. This position is remote-friendly.  

Position Overview:

The Senior Workday Configuration Analyst plays a critical role in shaping and supporting our Workday platform. This position will be 60% business-facing, engaging directly with business stakeholders to deliver Workday solutions that improve user experience and drive business outcomes. The role will have hands-on functional Workday expertise, strong communication skills, and a passion for solving complex problems through thoughtful configuration and change enablement.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary Workday configuration expert for cross-functional business stakeholders.

  • Collaborate closely with business users to gather requirements, analyze needs, and provide hands-on configuration across Workday modules.

  • Evaluate upcoming Workday releases, assess potential impact, and recommend enhancements that drive business value and innovation.

  • Translate strategic business needs into scalable, maintainable Workday solutions.

  • Lead and execute configuration projects, including documentation, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.

  • Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and train business users on new or updated functionality.

  • Partner with internal teams to ensure Workday governance, process integrity, and data accuracy.

  • Help develop and maintain configuration standards, documentation, and best practices.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the business, recommending system improvements and guiding stakeholders through platform capabilities and limitations.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of hands-on functional experience in Workday, with deep expertise in one or more modules (e.g., HCM, Absence, Time, Compensation, Talent).

  • Strong experience configuring and maintaining Workday business processes, condition rules, custom validations, security, and calculated fields.

  • Excellent interpersonal and consultative skills; able to translate technical details into business language.

  • Proven success in partnering with stakeholders to deliver system-based solutions to real-world business challenges.

  • Experience analyzing Workday bi-annual releases and implementing applicable features.

  • Solid understanding of Workday data structures and configuration lifecycle.

Valued Skills:

  • Workday certifications in relevant modules.

  • Familiarity with agile delivery methods or continuous improvement models.

  • AI literacy: Candidate should demonstrate understanding of how AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) can enhance HR workflows, decision support, or user experience.

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location. 

The salary range for this role in the United States is $110,325 - $139,400.

Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, such as a bonus or commission, medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and others.
