Our Mission

As humans, there are few things more exciting than meeting someone new. At Tinder, we’re inspired by the challenge of keeping the magic of human connection alive. With tens of millions of users, hundreds of millions of downloads, 2+ billion swipes per day, 20+ million matches per day, and a presence in 190+ countries, our reach is expansive—and rapidly growing.

We work together to solve complex problems. Behind the simplicity of every match, we think deeply about human relationships, behavioral science, network economics, AI and ML, online and real-world safety, cultural nuances, loneliness, love, sex, and more.

Our Values
  • Take the Lead: We don't ghost our work or each other. Just as users don't leave their matches hanging, we don't let each other down.
  • Move Fast: We have a bias for action and urgency. Something that could be done tomorrow would be better if done today.
  • Better Together: We keep connection at the heart of dating and at the heart of how we work. Just as our users are better when they connect with others, so are we when we collaborate.
  • Real Talk: We say the hard thing the human way. Just as we ask our users to behave with kindness and candor in our community, we expect Team Tinder to do the same.
  • Safety First: We act with integrity, transparency, and consistency so people feel safe—whether they're swiping, matching, or working alongside us.
  • Spark Fun: We have fun to unlock creativity, fuel innovation, and help us build better experiences for daters.

The Role

At Tinder, our Recs, Revenue, and Engagement teams play a mission-critical role in shaping the core user experience by helping people "spark something new with someone new" through personalized recommendations, bringing users back at the right moment, and making sure they succeed once they're here.

As Senior TPM, you will drive high-impact, cross-functional programs across these three teams while keeping each team's day-to-day operations running smoothly. You'll partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Analytics, along with Legal, Finance, Marketing, and Localization, to bring structure to rapidly evolving plans and priorities, resolve dependencies before they become blockers, and deliver incredible user experiences at global scale.

Where You'll Work

This is a hybrid role and requires in-office collaboration three days per week. This position is located in Los Angeles, CA or Palo Alto, CA.

In this role, you will:

  • Own end-to-end delivery for high-impact programs across Recs, Revenue, and Engagement from planning through launch, including the ongoing development of recommendation infrastructure and models for Recs; subscription, payments, and ads programs for Revenue; and lifecycle messaging and the CRM platform for Engagement.

  • Act as the connective tissue between Recs, Revenue, and Engagement and other product teams in the organization, tracking milestones, surfacing cross-team dependencies, driving alignment on ownership and sequencing, and mitigating risk across mobile, backend, ML, and web engineering teams.

  • Proactively identify and resolve issues by coordinating with teams to determine solutions and prioritize tasks; collaborate with teams as needed to improve existing processes while maintaining a high bar for both quality and velocity.

  • Provide clear, timely communications to executive and senior leadership on program health, including mission reports, status updates, and escalations that come with a recommended path forward, not just a status.

You'll need:

  • 6+ years of experience in Technical Program Management for consumer mobile products at scale, preferably supporting recommendations, ranking, or personalization; monetization (subscriptions, payments, or ads); or growth and lifecycle messaging.

  • Proven ability to run a portfolio of concurrent programs across multiple teams, building delivery plans, dependency maps, release plans, and risk registers that stay current as priorities shift.

  • Demonstrated success in partnering with PMs, engineering leads, and senior leadership, cultivating strong cross-functional relationships and influencing outcomes in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

  • AI fluency, with hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) to automate routine program management work like status reporting, documentation, and dependency tracking, and to accelerate cross-functional communication.

  • Expert-level proficiency in Jira and Jira Product Discovery, including configuring views, fields, and workflows, plus Confluence, Google Suite, and Figma.

  • Expertise in agile methodologies and a deep understanding of PDLC and SDLC best practices.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with subscription billing and payments, including Apple in-app purchase, Google Play Billing, web checkout, or alternative payment programs in regulated markets.

  • Working knowledge of the ML project lifecycle, from feature and data readiness through offline training and evaluation to online experimentation and rollout, and how planning for model work differs from planning for feature work.

  • Experience with programmatic ads, including ad placements, mediation, or SDK integrations on iOS and Android.

  • Familiarity with lifecycle and CRM messaging platforms (push, SMS, email) and the opt-in and regional compliance requirements that come with them.

As a full-time employee, you’ll enjoy:
  • Flexible Vacation, 10 Sick Days
  • Time off to volunteer and charitable donations matched up to $15,000 annually
  • Comprehensive health, vision, and dental coverage
  • 100% 401(k) employer match up to 10%, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
  • 100% paid parental leave (including for non-birthing parents) and family forming benefits
  • Investment in your development: mentorship through our MentorMatch program, access to 6,000+ online courses through Udemy, and an annual $3,000 stipend for your professional development
  • Investment in your wellness: access to mental health support via Modern Health, paid concierge medical membership, pet insurance, fitness membership subsidy, and commuter subsidy
  • Free subscription to Tinder Gold

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
