We're Hiring: Sr. Technical Implementation Manager

We're looking for a Sr. Technical Implementation Manager to lead the technical integration and implementation of EdVisorly's AI-powered platform across our college and university partners. This role is a key contributor to our partner implementation experience, responsible for connecting EdVisorly with institutional systems, solving complex technical challenges, and ensuring successful integrations that help higher education institutions modernize transcript processing and transfer credit evaluation.

As Sr. Technical Implementation Manager, you'll serve as the trusted technical expert for our partners, working closely with campus IT, registrar, and enrollment teams to navigate complex system integrations, troubleshoot data challenges, and deliver seamless technical implementations. You'll independently own the technical workstream from discovery through go-live, collaborating with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure partners are set up for long-term success.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone who thrives on solving complex technical problems, builds credibility with technical stakeholders, and enjoys translating technical challenges into clear, actionable solutions while helping shape how our technology and integration processes evolve.

The ideal candidate is a resourceful technical problem-solver, confident partner-facing communicator, and collaborative self-starter who understands system integrations, takes ownership of complex challenges, and thrives in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.

What You'll Own

🔹 Technical Implementation & Integration

  • Lead the technical workstream for partner implementations, from discovery and integration scoping through testing, go-live, and transition to ongoing support.

  • Configure and manage integrations with Student Information Systems (SIS), including Ellucian Banner, Ellucian Colleague, Oracle PeopleSoft, and other campus platforms.

  • Own technical integration activities, including data mapping, field validation, configuration, and data quality assurance.

  • Partner with project managers to identify technical dependencies, proactively communicate risks, and keep implementations on track.

🔹 Technical Troubleshooting & Problem Solving

  • Investigate and resolve complex integration and data issues across partner systems, configurations, and EdVisorly's platform.

  • Analyze system logs, SQL queries, and datasets to identify root causes, troubleshoot discrepancies, and drive issues to resolution.

  • Monitor integration health, proactively identify technical risks and blockers, and develop solutions before they impact partner timelines.

  • Apply a structured, persistent approach to troubleshooting challenges that span multiple systems and stakeholders.

🔹 Partner Engagement & Technical Leadership

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for partner IT, registrar, and enrollment teams throughout implementation.

  • Lead technical working sessions, guide partners through integration requirements, and build trusted relationships with campus technical stakeholders.

  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable information for both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive sponsors.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure technical decisions align with partner needs, implementation milestones, and business objectives.

🔹 Product Collaboration & Scalable Execution

  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to document technical issues, communicate partner feedback, and influence product and integration improvements.

  • Develop clear bug reports, feature requests, and technical recommendations that help prioritize solutions and inform the product roadmap.

  • Build and maintain integration runbooks, data mapping templates, troubleshooting guides, and implementation documentation.

  • Contribute to scalable playbooks, processes, and best practices that make each new implementation more efficient and successful.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
