Job Description:
In this role you will partner with other Tax, Accounting, Legal, Corporate Development teams to evaluate and support business initiatives and risk mitigation. Tax Planning & Strategy: Conduct detailed tax analysis and tax risk review of potential targets or transaction partners in support of Corporate Development initiatives. Evaluates tax structuring alternatives for acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, investments, or other strategic transactions. Assists with review of tax intercompany agreements and tax-specific provisions in third-party legal agreements.Monitor laws for applicability to the business and determines impact of proposed or enacted legislative changes, including all tax jurisdictions, and generally accepted accounting principles.Tax Compliance: Manage preparation/review of U.S. state tax and foreign tax filings including executing cash tax payments, partner with external consultants, and gathering/calculating complex tax data using updated technology methods.Assist with preparation/review of quarterly U.S. GAAP Income tax provisions including complex book/tax difference analysis, uncertain tax position and non-income tax reserves, share-based payments, state apportionment/rates, tax basis balance sheet, account reconciliations, SOX control documentation, and external audit requests.Tax Controversy Management: Handling tax audits and inquiries, managing audit defense strategies, and coordinating responses to tax authorities.For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:
- A minimum of 8+ years corporate tax experience. Experience in a publicly traded multinational group or of a Big4 required.
- Solid understanding of US International tax, BEPS global development, including Pillar 1 and Pillar 2 impact.
- Experience with managing and reviewing tax compliance activities for multinational companies.
- BA/BS in Business/Accounting or equivalent; Master's Degree in Taxation preferred
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
