Job Summary
The Senior Active Directory Engineer provides support, implementation, and design services for Microsoft ActiveDirectory and Windows-based systems across the enterprise, including directory and identity management solutions.Resolves and appropriately completes assigned cases and change requests and acts as an escalation for supportissues. Applies new solutions through research and collaboration with team and determines course of action for newapplication initiatives. Implements new software solutions as required by the business. The core infrastructure technologyduties include enterprise Microsoft Active Directory and Windows file services architecture creation and management,global system security and policy configuration, and top-level support for enterprise-wide initiatives.
Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure ensuring it is secure, scalable, and reliable
• Develop and maintain the overall architecture of the Active Directory environment, including domain controllers,Group Policies, DNS, and replication.
• Implement and manage identity and access management solutions, including Azure.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Active Directory issues, ensuring high availability and performance of directory services.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate Active Directory with other systems and applications.
• Develop automation routines to replace manual processes and increase efficiency.
• Interact with end users to troubleshoot reported problems or to perform required system maintenance activities.
• Backup and Disaster Recovery experience.
• Escalate problems to management and/or vendors in a timely fashion.
• Develop techniques and implement resolution of problems based on root cause analysis.
• Follow established Change Control procedures to document all production changes, and to limit unexpectedinterruptions to the production environment.
• Mentor other active directory engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of technical experience with Microsoft identify platforms including Entra.
• Expert knowledge of log analysis through KQL.
• Understanding of Entra ID, Entra Managed Applications, and Conditional Access Policies (CAPs).
• Ability to analyze deployment articles and github repositories to understand and implement identifiedconfigurations.
• Develop automation routines to replace manual processes and increase efficiency.
• Demonstrated knowledge of authentication, security, privacy, and compliance and how they factor intocloud and hybrid solutions.
• Strong working knowledge of network architecture and standards for large enterprise deployments andunderstanding of security frameworks specific to IT Standards (PCI/SOX/etc.)
• Interact with end users to troubleshoot reported problems or to perform required system maintenanceactivities
• Backup and Disaster Recovery experience.

Primary Technology Expertise Requirements:

• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Entra (Azure) Active Directory, Entra Single Sign On(SSO), DHCP, DNS, and PKI
• Expertise in PowerShell scripting

Secondary Technical Skills Desired:

• Technical writing
• Linux / Unix integration to Active Directory
• Microsoft Office 365, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint management
