Roles and Responsibilities

  • On site role, mix of lab and office environments. Placed with our Platform Systems Engineering group supporting technology development in capillary electrophoresis, microarray, and qPCR based diagnostics
  • Collaborate with the R&D team to conduct development for next generation diagnostics instrumentation and workflows
  • Design-prototyping, systems integration, debugging complex breadboard systems (optical, electrical, mechanical, fluidics, software, firmware)
  • Perform root cause analysis and refine breadboards and prototypes to meet performance targets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in prototyping, systems integration, and debugging complex systems
  • Knowledge of genetics tools and workflows (e.g. Sanger sequencing, qPCR, NGS, DNA synthesis)
  • In progress Masters or PhD program in engineering or related discipline preferred
  • In person role; South San Francisco with flexibility to commute Bay Area

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position Sr Intern based inCalifornia is $14.75–$55.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
