The Campbell’s Company is seeking a Senior Communications Specialist to join a dynamic communications team focused on strategic storytelling and digital engagement spanning both internal and external communications. We’re looking for a high-energy, forward-thinking person who wants to join a purpose-driven company and who flourishes in a fast-paced environment. The Senior Communications Specialist will develop and implement communications plans and tactics to support the goals and initiatives of Campbell’s corporate communications. You’re a strong communicator versed in internal communication strategies and tactics that drive awareness and engagement in support of business goals. You’re comfortable communicating in a multi-media, omni-channel environment to reach a range of audiences. Responsibilities include developing corporate employee communications, corporate digital content, assisting with executive communications, and coordinating large-scale meetings and events. You’ll will work closely with communications colleagues at headquarters and in the regions, as well as colleagues in Human Resources, IT, Legal and other corporate functions.   

You’ll leverage sound judgment, experience with diverse communication tactics and a continuous improvement mindset to deliver high quality work across multiple projects within stringent timelines. 

What you will do…

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Help organize and contribute to overall communications editorial calendar and organizational communications cadence including managing weekly and quarterly newsletters;  
  • Support Campbell’s internal communications technology platforms including Microsoft Engage (internal communications channel), Axios (internal email platform), and track and compile analytics for the platform 
  • Help create and manage digital signage across all corporate and plant locations; 
  • Help to support and manage the employee texting platform Alert Media at all corporate and plant locations  
  • Support enterprise employee experience communications and communications programs for corporate functions including HR, IT, Finance, Supply Chain and Legal.  
  • Synthesize and prioritize activities across multiple concurrent projects; implementing timely communications aligned with project milestones; 
  • Provide counsel to internal clients about communications and measuring/evaluating results; 
  • Coordinate Headquarters communications; 
  • Assist with technical, legal and other stakeholder reviews to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of materials; 
  • Lead employee and headquarters events, programs and corporate special projects;  
  • Collaborate and support the work of various internal working groups; 

What you bring to the table…

Minimum Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English or similar focus area; 
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a communications role, particularly corporate, organizational or internal communications; 
  • Strong interpersonal and writing communications skills across a variety of mediums (e.g., social media, presentations, blogs and websites, video, printed newsletter, digital signage, etc.); 
  • Internal communications capabilities, including experience with culture-based and change management communications; 
  • Confidence in influencing at all levels of the organization;  
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, performance-based environment;  
  • Characteristics including being adaptable, proactive, highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines; 
  • A candidate who is digitally savvy and has demonstrated knowledge and experience in using digital communications tools and platforms (e.g. Microsoft SharePoint). Graphic design skills and/or experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, video editing and social media are a plus; 
  • A team player with familiarity working in a matrix. 

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between 

$79,000-$113,600

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
